New champion select

Guys, so i was playing ranked and it was my time to pick a champion, i selcted it but didn't lock in because of real life duty (i know i needed 1 sec just to press the lock in button, but as i said real life duty's u can't miss a sec) and i got a peanlity. It's stupid men if i chosed a champ and didn't lock in, it has to mean that i already "locked in" that champ. Do u guys agree whit me? (sry if my english is bad)
