Death mark. As long as its active on them, but doesn't kill them, do you still get the passive or does death mark have to be the killing blow?

as far as i know it has to kill them or you get the assist while its active
If the enemy is affected by death mark when it dies you get the bonus AD. For example if you use your ultimate on an enemy and and you or an ally kills them, the passive will trigger.
