Like he's literally the only champion I play. I know that's a terrible reason to help out a champion, but like wow, all of season 8 has been brutal, and now I'm at the point of where people are asking me to jump if the only champion I play is amumu.

They should bring back that part of his Q where he could of used it on terrain to pull himself towards the targeted terrain on a shorter cooldown. The reason why that was removed or not even released is because at the time Riot thought that such menurverment would be strong.

I don't think you will have success with him in the current jungler. The crippled the viability of many champions in the game in the role of jungle and some in the role of mid.
I play the game for some time and in my opinion, this is the worst thing they did.
