Has anyone played Morde recently?

Title says it all. I'm curious about how he fared after 5.4, seeing as the other guy was...well.

I don't see nearly as many topics complaining about the Morde changes, so were they good...? Or maybe no one plays Morde

1.No one plays Morde

2.What had to be said has been said already.

3.Morde got nerfed hard. Only buff was to his Q. Riot then nerfed his lane sustain, his W damage, and gave him an utility that he will not use for most of the game.

He's fine, his health regen was hit hard for no apparent reason but its not too big of a problem imo.

Riot forgot the buff part of 'compensation buff'. On the PBE they reduced his damage and increased his max shield, which is cool. Then when the patch hit, the damage reduction changes made it and the shield changes were forgotten.

So what was his 'compensation buff' for the DFG removal?

  • Able to cast W on an ally and still get it himself
  • Tiny speed boost when running to ally with W

Mediocre buffs but then Riot decided he need to pay for those 'buffs'. What did he have to pay?

His Ratios were reduced

He would be better off if they had left him alone and never touched him instead of trying to 'buff' him.

I think it's a combination of the fact that his changes are less drastic and didn't affect much, and that he's an unpopular champion in the first place.

Similarly for Zilean, his changes actually made him weaker, but there's almost no complaints for him because so few people play him. However, even though the community is unaware/unconcerned, Riot knows that he is weak and he's getting buffed both live and on PBE.
