How many worlds will it take...

To see some champs that rarely ever see play, to actually be played. The last few patches were to tone down some champs and give others some power but they keep tuning the same champs over and over and OVER.

For example, why doesn't Heimer get touched on? I can understand if he's getting a rework but no news on that so what gives? Is it because he will dominate solo q? Riot nerfed Shen for competitive play and buffed Draven in hopes to see him shine in Worlds. So where's the Heimer buff?

Because some champions will never be picked in Worlds because of the nature of their kits.

Heimerdinger wont be picked in worlds because his kit relies on getting set up in an area and can easily be played around or easily cleared with poke.

There are a ton of viable champs that can perform well in soloq, but wont be played in competitve unless they are buffed to the point of being flat out broken.

MonkeyKing Mordekaiser Nasus Rammus Fiddlesticks Heimerdinger Lux Shyvana Tryndamere Teemo Volibear XinZhao etc etc all are completely viable in soloq, but have glaring weakness that can be exploited by well coordinated teams.

You need to stop using Competitive as a standard. It not even the same game at this level. They have a list of things a champ has to check to be considered an option. The only time you see traditionally unpicked champs get picked is when Riot accidentally overbuffs them to the point of being completely broken. Why do you want them to do this to your champ? So you can see them in a single pro game before they get completely gutted the next patch?

You wont see a hiemer because he is a purely defensive character, competitive teams will always favor aggressive champions with lots of utility/dmg/movement simply because it gives them the most control over how a game goes. Heimer simply can never see that kind of game-play because his strengths rely on other people trying to attack him in an immobile network of turrets that he can't quickly or reliably push with.

Unfortunately for you, Heimer will most likely never see play at Worlds. I never had a problem with Heimer because i think it's really easy to counter his playstyle. The problem is that he is what a lot of people consider "toxic" to fight against in solo q if you have no game knowledge of how to fight Heimer. He needs another rework imo.

Are you asking because you want Heimer in Worlds? Heimer can't really function on a competitive team because he's too focused on his turrets to be a decent pick. Pull Heimer off turrets or kill them and his damage drops tremendously.

They can't just simply buff Heimer to be a Worlds class pick because they would have to buff him to such a degree that would make him busted for us mortals. Same goes for champs like Garen, Yi, Amumu, Nasus, etc. Champs like these are stronger in unorganized enviorment, but are significantly weaker against organized teams. That's way they would need to be buff an insane amount to have their strengths could attempt to cover the weakness of their kits in organized play. Even then, that won't guarantee they'll be viable picks in Worlds.

Do you want Heimer to be pick/ban in solo Q just for a shot at Worlds? They only other possibility is to rework them into something viable for competitive play.

Some champions simply won't be the shit in worlds unless they're brown because of how one dimensional their kit is.

The pros look for specific things in champions that can be viable on the competitive, unfortunately a vast majority of champions simply don't have such characteristics. Things like, an escape or mobility in general. Heimer has neither and he relies on the enemy being bad enough to actually stand in his turrets, that's just not something a pro is going to willy nilly unless you dropped serious CC on them. Basically for a majority of champions, they bring trash utility/are trash in general and the pros don't bother with them.

Look 2 years in the past Worlds 2014 saw nearly 80 champions played, it had the highest % of champion usage of any worlds. So they've done it before.
