Soooo.... Will Riot Ever Revisit Zed?
Last thing they did was "bugfix" the spaghetti code which had only existed for fu*king AAAGES with the shadow's Q not spawning and getting conveniently overlooked (not even remotely kidding, I guess they sold all the skins they where going to for him at that point in time -.-) and was ONLY brought about after someone found a way to make do with the slow a*s shadow Riot themselves put in place. Then Riot decides almost instantly after they hear of an upside to their changes, "ooh.. unseen power? Can't have that, off with the other leg!". But it was ok when it was detrimental to the performance of anyone who liked to play him. Double standards. Woot.
Now along comes another champion with an invulnerable ult which can be cast on an entire team. Idk how many times i've seen the term "shadow of his former self", it's almost sad now. Nerfs after nerfs after nerfs, then left to sulk in the shadows with a token change.
Before this there where nerfs to his ult recast time directly affecting the way he was played making probably half of the plays you could do before no longer viable and in all likelihood would end in his death now if attempted considering speedy shadowplay was his only ally compared to every other assassin. Let's revert Leblanc's nerf in less patches relative to Zed who was just left hanging till they remembered and realised it would make them look bad having Zed nerfed before Lb but reverting the changes after or even never, despite targeting his ULTIMATE in comparison. This also after that huge nerf to his W shadow speed which was painful enough and didn't even decide in the end to do what they did with LB by compromising and raising the shadow speed back up so it wasn't so clunky which would eventually end up embarrassing the coding team in recent events. Nice one.
That's not balance, just favoritism. Anyone with half a brain knows that Zed is weak as he has ever been, easily counterable by an insane list of things at this point excluding the meta and basic teamwork tactics/justCChim, and is definitely more on the underpowered side given all the Juggernaut items and changes following the nerfs to the BotRK active for which no compensatory buffs were even suggested just teased with annoyingly - the only thing given was an "ignore unit collision" after the ult change... get that pos out of my face, seriously whoever even thought Zed needed that is a straight up dumba*s and was just reaching for the lowest hanging fruit to appease the mains. Some may have forgotten, but I never will. I shall await the day our order is restored to it's former heights.
P.S. Zed 1v3 in Project: Overdrive? Misrepresentation at it's finest (yes I know it was just to hype up the skins, not sure if that's really a good thing though suckering the unawares into buying it xp). Also yes, lots of salt - might as well lay it all out in one thread though (can you blame us, i'm sure everyone else would be delighted when their favorite champion is cast aside after being gutted to near-mediocrity). Thanks for reading, regardless of the inevitable downvotes. Peace.
