WHY DO I HAVE TO LOCK IN IF I'VE ALREADY SELECTED WHO I WANT TO PLAY/BAN?

I seriously get like 5, 15, 30 minute bans because of this garbage. WHO THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?

WHAT PURPOSE DOES IT SERVE?

IF I WANTED TO DODGE, I WOULD CLOSE THE GAME... REMOVE THIS GARBAGE!!!

Edit: Dislike all you want, this is an unnecessary feature that's only purpose is to punish the forgetful.

Jesus, fool you once.

Click the button! It's not that hard! You shouldn't have ever messed this up after your first accidental dodge.

Edit: Reasons for requiring a lock-in, off the top of my head: Speeds up the draft process, and provides insurance against client crashes. If I hover a champ, don't have a ban, then crash my client, the game shouldn't begin while I get my computer problems sorted out. Requiring me to lock in ensures that I'm present at multiple points during the selection process.

only the lazy, inattentive or plain stupid don't stick around the choosing stage and get punished.

so... instead of simply clicking a single button to lock in the pick you selected you forgot MULTIPLE times to do this very easy step and then come here complaining about something that could have very easily been avoidable... sorry but you yourself have already proven why this thing exists

You'd think that you would remember to lock in after the first time.

If you want to AFK during champion select, you might as well go afk during the game. Champion select is the time you have to discuss strategies, comps and counters. It is the time you take to adjust your masteries and runes according to the enemy team and to your most likely oponent in lane, not to mention someone in your team might want you to pick a champion for him and swap latter.

Going afk during champion select is not ok and the arduous task of clicking the big orange button is there to make sure that, for at least 30 seconds, you're looking at what is happening.

Can't believe this is still a thing. Thanks for the dodge penalty, again...
