Annie with Shield Bash?

Does Shield Bash proc with Annie's E? It's called "Molten Shield", but gives damage reduction instead of a white bar shield.

If it doesn't proc the new rune like I'm guessing it doesn't; would it be better to leave the ability as it is, or make it an actual white bar shield that would proc it? I guess it would depend more on how big the shield would be.

P.S. I had a funny thought; what if pets could get their own Shield Bash proc on their basic attacks if they get a shield? Imagine Annie getting a proc for herself AND Tibbers when she presses E?

I would assume no. As then similar steroids on Irelia Thresh Sejuani Rammus would also need to be treated this way.

This issue with intentionally giving her synergy with it, is that it's more point and click damage which she has in spades. And a shield is more powerful than a steroid at lower health values, which annie generally resides. So it would be a far bigger buff than I believe you think it would.

Health and resistance are best together, but the better one to have without the other, is health. As it doesn't matter how much you reduce the damage, if you don't have the health to survive in the first place

The shield has to provide 'temporary HP' or the white/purple bar you see on your HP bar when you're shielded by the likes of Janna or Morgana.
