The Updated Support Roster.
Hey you, as most of us know botlane is currently in a massive chaos because of all the latest changes opening the lane to tons of new champions including mages, bruisers and fiddlesticks, and with all the changes even support has seen some odd changes so I thought it would be fun to make an updated roster to the support of botlane
DISCLAIMER: I am in no way shape or form an expert at this game, most my knoledge is simply from the fact that I've played this game for atleast up to 6 years.
now before we get into the actual roster of champions its important to explain some of the archetype of supports which are as followed,
Tanks: High defensive classes that peel for their ADC and usually provide ingages for their teammates. Enchanters: A mix of offense and defense, enchanters provide heals, shields, buffs and debuffs. Nukes: A new archetype to supports, Nukes are high harrasment supports, often mages that will support their team by simply making sure your opponent is to low to continue to farm.
great now that that is out of the way lets discuss the actual champions.
For the tanks supports current champions are;
classic tank supports that haven't been affected by the changes that much. new to the roster however are

both Rammus and Zac seem pretty great picks in the current bruiser meta, Rammus especially with his high anti AD playstyle, has quite an easy time going up against most bruisers that you'll find in botlane. pick Aftershock, Demolish, Chrysalis and Overgowth and protecting your ADC from harm becomes a breeze.
Enchanters:

All great botlane picks and often a safe pick against most new botlane champions, Janna especially has quite an easy time adapting to the new meta through something I can only describe as tapping into the speed force.
go, Summon Aery, Manaflow Band, Celerity, Waterwalking, Approach Velocity and Magical Foortwear.
start early harrasment with
first back,
escential items,

finish this build with any two AP items of your liking.
if done correct your Janna will have a constant 500ms making you one of the most difficult to catch champions in the game and easily able to dodge most if not all skillshots.
NUKES:
yes. Sona is a nuke champion and a damn strong one at that, often played in season 4 to 6, the new rune system have finally brought out Sona's true potential as a true nuke champion.
get Dark Harvest, Cheapshot, Zombie ward, Ultimate hunter, Transcendence and Manaflow band.
start
give your jungler a long leash, this will provide you with your first two souls, let your ADC farm up to level 2 should give you around 10 stacks your Q from that point will do around 200 damage, given you have your third hit. If you continue aggrasive play and around 10 minutes a single Q/AA can potentially deal 500 damage, or around half the health of most ADCs at that point.
Finally we have what i like to call Aces, they dont really fit into a specific category and seem to mainly exist to put your opponents on tilt so here they are.
these champions dont deal alot of damage, they dont heal, they dont put their team ahead, no these champions specifically exist to put the opponent behind by constantly annoying them with their various abilities, from fiddlestick's, birds, to teemo's shrooms and shaco's boxes, these champions will make you regret even moving anywhere outside of your tower.
Anyways. that is my list, did I miss anyone, if so please write about it in the comments below, if anything any addition to the list is welcome and make sure to exlpain how a certain champion should be played with what playstyle as to help people try it for themselves. I hope this list will help people become more interested in playing support aswell so any addition that could make the role more interesting would really help.
