A way to fix Aery?
So, about Aery, it's being played by champions that are not even taking it for one of its major usages (supporting your teammates) and just for the extra guranteed damage however often they can use it, I just played a game with a Draven that used it. As a potential solution to this, I look to the way Riot handled the Kayn bug when they prevented him from taking the problematic keystone and just forced him to take a different one until the bug was fixed. What I mean by this is that it is possible to prevent certain champions from taking a particular rune, we even saw this in URF where runes like Manaflow Band were switched to something that would actually be usable. My proposal is to just prevent champions that cannot use the heal/shield part of Aery and force those who would take it to use Comet instead. I don't know how this would work on a technical level, but it does seem like it could work on paper since they have done similar things on a smaller scale. I was really excited for Aery the first time I saw the new runes, it was the perfect keystone for healing/shielding champions, but now it's being exploited by champions who can't even use the keystone to its fullest potential. I'd like to see Aery be played most by the champions that it was designed for, rather than the champions who abuse only one part of it. I know that this is probably not what Riot wants to do with Aery, but I think that it might be at least worth talking about.
