You know here's what makes pro LoL boring

Everyone plays passively. Why?

I think it's because in LoL every champion benefits strongly from farming and all you really want to do is farm and get objectives.

In DotA there are heroes you literally only pick to fight. If you aren't fighting you're not pressuring enemies away from your carries. On those heroes who gives a shit how much you farm? You're not gonna carry by farming.

Riot didn't want to do that because it's not casual friendly. But the result is a game where everyone just wants to farm. "Early game" champions are carries. They can be successful just by pressuring their lane opponent off CS and farming.

You see this problem a lot less in solo queue because people are bad. But if you look at pro play it's just super boring because every champion is heavily rewarded for farming.

We need a item 3041 meta.

Honestly then just dont watch. Theres more to it than just farming. Just cuz other games want people to fight constantly doesnt mean League has to be the same way. Go make your own League. You can make your own rules then pal

That is because pro players in LoL got much smarter and know when they are strong and when not. Why would you fight if you weaker then enemy? You would not, you farm and wait. One side is always stronger then the other even if slightly, so there is no reason for the weak side to take fights. What makes pro play boring is that pro play has nothing what so ever in common with solo queue even in higher elo.

I don't think that's the correct solution to the problem of people feeling safer farming passively than fighting...

How about we just reduce the risk associated with early game fighting, rather than trying to increase the rewards. Requires half as much change (because risk aversion), but still yields the same net result.
