My Brain shuts off when i play ranked

I am currently in gold V and i assume i have a decent understanding of the game ( i cant say i have a great understanding becuase im sure i still have lots to learn). However i noticed my problems stems from me not being able to think as clearly in ranked games whether we are ahead or behind. Trying to think about calls to make around the map seems to somewhat hurt my mechanics, and focusing on mechanics seems to shutoff my map awareness. On a side note i'd also like help on what to do in the mid game when no one is really ahead yet. I guess overall id like to see what you guys have to say to keep a clear head.
