Rengar. We don't want Buffs, we want Change

A few months ago there was a small, yet exciting event that took place here where an official Champion Discussion Megathread was created -- for Rengar.
Members of the community were encouraged to share their opinions on the champion -- what they liked, what they didn't like, what they missed, what they would like to see, whatever came to their mind.
There were a few overly enthusiastic Rengar players that had less than constructive feedback, but for the most part it was fun being able to read through peoples comments and seeing how people felt.

We even received feedback from key members of Riot's design team who were responsible for his rework -- which was quite exciting!

Going into this event, I knew nothing would come from it -- at least not anything in the near future. But hearing Repertoir give the "if I could do it over again..." speech, it got me thinking...why not just do it again?

I work as a developer, so I understand the concept of a back log, design, prioritization, etc that dictates what and when something gets worked on.
I understand that Riot has a large back log of champions they're looking to rework on top of designing New champions and balancing/tweaking others, etc.
I understand that the list goes on and on and it's incredibly difficult to say "we plan to address X problem by Y date" -- I really really do.

But it also breaks my heart to keep hearing the generic "we have no immediate plans for Rengar" -- we know there's no way that Rengar can be addressed Immediately. But it would feel so good to hear "We've added Rengar to the list of champions to address somewhere down the road" -- even if "down the road" doesn't even fall within Seasons 8/9.

We've acknowledged that the old Rengar had gameplay issues that needed to be addressed. You've acknowledged that the rework could've been better. We appreciate all of the (positive, negative, and ambiguous) feedback that the community has provided so far, but we really hope that there are bigger changes down the road than number tweaks.

Well rengar top is even more of a pain in the ass than before. Legit q spam lvl 1 and bush hop so you can't help but be pushed in. Jump aa+empowered q+aa and thunderlord's = 1/2 your hp. What balance is that? Where's the fun interactive play there? Oh, and because of his current empowered w, he basically takes 0 damage back from you and can't be cc'd. Gj Riot. They should really remove the 4 stacks of abilities to empower one ability- just give him 1 free empowered ability upon ulting or buff all abilities for the next 2-3 sec after popping out of ult. Also consider a timer limit on jumping out of the same bush - like taliyah q or talon wall hop has a cd for the same location. The problem is similar to what it is with kha - a champ who is either underwhelming or so op no one will even try to fight you. Thus rengar either dives in 1v5 with ult, or he does the "thrill of zoning" ult. Just like talon and zed compared to say... kha though... rengar needs more in-and-out potential. Ways to dive in, do damage, and get out of the enemy team or buy time. Kha has leap that can reset and 2+ uses of stealth. Plus much stronger dps via spammable q. Talon can get in fine, but then has no way out and is done once he's used his full combo. Zed has a bit more safety, but again, very vulnerable to cc unless he builds super defensive and sacrifices much of his burst potential. Rengar is similar to talon - a nice way in, nice immediate burst, and then not much.
