I watched this video and I thought to myself, wow the old league looked like so much fun. So I wanted to press an idea I had in that moment.

To every player, Riot Employee and Streamer. What if for a weekend or possibly a week the Client was Reworked into the Legacy Season 3 client. I know the work to bring this back would be tremendous or even unlikely. But the fact that Winter, Halloween maps in these early seasons are so much different as well as the champions before their annoying reworks. It would be a fun weekend or week, to actually experience these things for players who joined season 4 or above and quite nostalgic for those who were there for it all. I was wondering on everyone's opinion on bringing back the old league of legends for a small time as a game mode maybe or something. Just hear me out.

I'm all for bringing maps back, but a lot of people view the older seasons through nostaligia glasses, you only hear about the good things, never about the things that were absolutely terrible. AP Yi, 100% ban rate Kassadin at his peak of power, the exploits like Anivia dying but Zhonyaing anyway and just being unkillable as she TPs away.

Only been playing since end of season 7 but have to say I would like to see the following,

Turrets as they were back then Longer drawn out fights Difference in maps (seasonal and RGM)

Lot of good stuff on video and nice track on it.

If we go through the effort of getting a lagacy lol, it should be a permanent legacy server. No point on puttin in so much work for a single weekend

I'd really be happy about that, but sadly it seems very unlikely

I too would be ecstatic to replay the older league . . . but a while back one of the devs mentioned they don't keep old data for more than a few months, so such a project would basically be rebuilding the game from the ground up again, which I doubt they'd do. Consider this, it took them five years to make their own recording function to rewatch old matches, when the private sector had such programs two years into the game's life. And their mention of their messy coding had begun in beta, and it's never been fixed, just piled onto with every patch aside from straightening some bugs out.
