Heimerdinger Update maybe?

Heimerdinger So The Dinger has been one of may favorite champions from the time that I first got him. He was my second character purchase (I got Ashe first because she was in the tutorial) I read through the list and went "YES!". I was with him when he could place 6 turrets and ult Upgraded! them from yellow to green to red and only could hit one at a time. I have played him with every iteration he has gone through since then as well. The point being I do not like where he is at right now. I am not saying that he does not have the potential to be a powerhouse, because he can I've done it, it just feels like his niche is lost and that his abilities do not completely mesh as well as they could. Here are some ideas that I have on the subject.

Techmaturgical Repair Bots (passive) Since this passive had it's ability to heal allied structures removed it has become almost pointless, yes it gives him and his allies slight lane stay and has been made to be the thing that gives his turrets their power. However when this is put up against almost any other mage's passive it is lackluster. When it comes to a passive I really like to see something that really synergises with a character's kit as a whole and it just doesn't feel like it does right now.

H-28G Evolution Turret (Q) Pure and simple this is the meat and potatoes of Dinger in my opinion. Later I will give some of my ideas on improvements and they will all center around this ability. As they are I don't level them first. The ability that sets Dinger apart from other characters, the thing that makes him him, I don't focus. This is because they die too easy, becoming a source of gold for my opponent. It seems that if I focus all of my points in my Q then when I hit level 9 and max it out that is about the time that a decent ADC can one shot them. Also I am not a fan of the new version of of the AoE because it seems like it misses as often as it hits which would be fine if this was a skill vs skill situation, however since this is based off of AI it just seems like that shot make the turrets inconsistent as a damage source. Potential enemy gold farm plus inconsistent damage just seems not so great.

Hextech Micro-Rockets (W) Okay I like where this is at as a skill. Damaging skill shot. Pretty straight forward

CH-2 Electron Storm Grenade (E) I lamented when the turret damaging part of this ability was taken away. I personally thought that this is what made him a threat. Yes his turrets where his bread and butter but that is where he shined. That being said I can see why they changed it. I personally thought that making it so that only the center of the grenade hurt the turrets if you hit it dead on would have been a better route, though I am going to mark that up to a good change.

UPGRADE!!! (R) Q version - For the most part I have the same issues with hit Ult Q as I do his regular Q. Yeah it lives longer and hits harder but a decent ADC can still look at it with gold in their future. Personally this is my least used form of his ult.

W version - As with his normal w I like ulting with this skill, and it can bring out some awe inspiring damage.

E version - This is too good to not use. Oh a team fight look they are stunned. Oh look I am getting chased and I am not accurate with just my plan E stunned. There have been many a team fight I have started with this and it was just in our favor. Same with disrupting the enemy, and getting out when it started to go south. Even better these stuns are staggered so played right you can REALLY mess up a team in a way only a tank should. This is just too good in my opinion.

Now this all this being said here are some of my ideas of what I think could change Dinger for the better.

Empowering Nanobots (Passive) When in range H-28G Evolution Turrets attack faster and build charges after every attack. Allies and minions in range slowly build a small shield based off of their max health.

H-28G Evolution Turret (Q) Okay for the turrets. My idea for them is that AP, nor adding skill points, does not add damage to the turrets, instead they build 5 damage after every 7/6/5/4/3 charges they get. And after every 3 shots they shoot an explosive round damaging in a small area. AP does however effect the survivability of the turrets by increasing the number of hits each turret can take before being destroyed (like Teemo's mushrooms or Zyra's plants but AP adds more hits to the bar) since creeps, spells, and AoEs can also attack them I personally don't see an issue with even getting the turrets up to being able to take 5 hits after a final build each to be taken out. Also when his passive is not effecting them they don't go dormant they drop to a very low attack speed and go up to their current regular attacks per second when he is near.

Hextech Micro-Rockets (W) Keep these as is.

CH-2 Electron Storm Grenade (E) Keep these as is

UPGRADE!!! (R) Works as is with a few changes Passive - after activated but before a skill is used Dinger's passive effects are doubled Q - Dinger places a Hyper Turret Beacon Mark 1 which causes the turrets to attack faster and AoE every other attack W - AS is E - The whole area of the bomb stuns or if thrown at a turret causes damage

Now I know that some of this is a bit different, however this is based on bring Dinger's thematic game play back. First the turrets will be a threat while making them something you have to work on. No farm then they are going to be nothing more then gold for the enemy even with the increased survivability. Now with the shield it would help Dinger be Dinger with the current assassin meta. Game play wise, to me at least, Dinger is supposed to be able to create zones where he can go "this is my spot". He doesn't have mobility to speak of, and I am cool with that. Plus think of this you see a team fight coming pop the ult gain a bigger shield then drop the Beacon. If you don't plan for it then well that is Dinger's real downfall. I would like to see him evolve with the game, no I don't want him to be OP and in every ranked match. I want fun and challenging and back in his niche.

Sorry for the long post this has been in my mind for bit
