Now that Varus is being played in the LCS I'm wonering why doesn't anyone play him AP? He is still just as vulnerable as a champion yes, but his ult has 100% AP scaling and with 
his W and the Arcane Blade mastery he does 45% of his AP on hit. Along with 
to apply blight to 3 people at a time. I feel that with the team fight meta right now that AP Varus could shine. What do you guys think?
his q just does too much dmg with armor pen build and his q and e doesnt scale with ap so is really risk when only ur aa and ult does ap dmg
I've played it, I just feel like he has to get too deep and is too vulnerable. At least with AD you don't have to AA 3 times before actually dealing damage. But his %HP magic damage is insane at high AP potentially dealing 75%+ damage with 3 blight stacks.
He needs to get quite a few items before he can really be on-par with other ap carries. He's also really vulnerable (has to be on aa-range to get any damage off) which is dangerous considering he has no mobilty and needs his ult for burst.
