Some feelings about the Preseason
We are still far from establishing anything close to a meta or anything like that since the Patch has landed, every1 is still going full mathematics or instinctual to build and spec at best their favorite champions and figure who is OP, who isn't and the various new counters.
The Boards are full of threads about it since day 1, but I felt the need to put up a thread which doesn't give a set in stone judgement. Instead, I just want to give my feelings about it based on my early experiences in multiple roles and champions played.
Right now I have a couple of matches as Yasuo, one as Varus and one as Xerath plus some small tests done in custom games. Right now, things feel really out of place and I have to agree that there is a heavy dominance of some characters and play patterns against which there is little or nothing to do.
First of all, I agree with the nerf coming to Warlord's Bloodlust (it will proc only against champions) it seems fair and gives a small window to put in other balance issues if they arise. Right now Yasuo is a force of nature and the sustain this keystone gives makes Yasuo able to follow his buildpath without the "trade" of sustain that he had to endure before making him basicaly an AD Akali.
The second issue is Caitlyn (I want to remind every1 that these are all personal opinions and you are more then welcome to make me understand better where I fail). I had her in team most of the times and against when I played as Varus. Well, once she got the traps she won the lane by default, she might not kill you but the zoning she creates and the range she has makes her maybe too strong. I still have to figure things out. Anyway she seems more vulnerable when lane phase ends.
Last but not least, AP keystones... Now this is something already high in the feels of many and I'll try to be short also because it affects my main. I don't know what to do with them... It's kind of linear that Thunderlord's Decree is for burster who go full combo on the enemy, make use of the proc and finish him. Deathfire Touch insted is for more constant damage dealers who can make use of the dot component without overwrithing it (I don't think it stacks). The question for me is what to do with
? It seems quite obvious (DFT for siege) but in a lot of cases I find myself in a situation where my stun (or other CC) lands and I can rapidly Q-W for a lot of damage, plus in rarer cases landing al the shots of my ultimate can make TLD also a desirable keystone. I'm sure that it applies to other champions too to feel like in between of said keystones and I'm welcoming any suggestion about it.
Words to you, keep it calm and give feedback.
