Event/Reward Ideas for Nexus Blitz

I have been having a lot of fun with Nexus Blitz, but the amount of events and rewards in the pool is small, so they seem a little stale. Granted I know riot will add more in the future, but I wanted to share some of my ideas for these additions. All values are my ideas, but ultimately it's up to riot it come up with good values if they like the idea.

Events:

  • Dodge! This one doesn't test players abilities to fight, so much as it tests their ability to react to mass chaos. In this event, countless Velkoz Vel'Koz Q's fly towards players coming from every which way. They'll deal 500 true damage per hit (whether the initial strike, or being hit by a split). Players who die will respawn and remain invulnerable until the end of the event. Those of us who played Invasion will know how much chaos occurs when we're trying to fight and dodge a ton of projectiles at the same time. Nexus Blitz has many events that you should participate in, but don't have to. If you don't want to stand in the claim point for king of the hill, you don't have to. (granted it's a bad idea to throw events). What I like about Dodge is that it forces everyone to participate, and it causes a lot of chaos, making players really have to focus on dodging projectiles and fighting the enemy. This event is definitely one that'll take a lot of concentration, and I think that's something Nexus Blitz is lacking with in events.

  • Sudden Death!

In Sudden Death, all players have their health reduced to 1, and all healing and health regen is reduced to 0. Last team standing wins the event

  • Death Haze

Players have their vision massively reduced, and can no longer see allies or enemies unless they are very close. (Picture Rek'Sai's RekSai vision while underground. Imagine trying to win a 5v5 when no one can tell where anyone is. The fear, the chaos, the fun. Obviously to prevent someone from just running around the map and hiding, there will have to be something like the ring of fire to close the map in, forcing players to blindly walk into a zone where they know they'll probably encounter a foe.

Rewards:

  • Cloak of Invisibility

Very simple, all players on the team that wins the event are given a buff that mimics Teemo Teemo's passive. In the sense that you become stealthed after standing still for a few seconds. (does not include the stealth for walking into a bush) This buff lasts for the rest of the game. Permanent buff rewards seem to make winning an event feel like it was really worth it, because you feel the benefits for the entire game. I like the idea of competing for a buff that'll help you no matter what, whereas an event where you just wait until your opponent's buff ends. I don't think Cloak of Invisibility will be overpowered because while it allows you to set up some real cool ambushes, if everyone stands still waiting for an unfortunate enemy, they're leaving the rest of the map open to the enemies to control.

  • Tower Fire

I wanted to make this one general because there's so much you can do with it. Win an event to raise the rate of fire of your towers, slow enemy towers, modify damage per shot, turn your tower shots into a steady beam like the inhibitor and nexus towers once were in Summoners Rift, etc. There's so much to do with tower modification rewards both temporary and permanent, Riot can have a lot of fun with it.

  • Thunder Storm

A thunderstorm and lightning animation would be cool, but for simplicity sake in an alpha test game, Xerath Xerath W's will do just fine. Basically for the next 2 minutes, Xerath W's strike all over the map, dealing magic damage to the team who lost the event.

Let me know your thoughts, these are just my ideas for Nexus Blitz
