EDIT: Upon watching the replay, Sion was ulting towards Poppy who started charging her ultimate. Sion hit her but she still went through the animation and landed her ultimate anyways, sending Sion back. Poppy got stunned and Sion was sent across the map. Meaning that Sion's ultimate didn't stuff Poppy's.
Maybe Poppy has "True CC"

Channels can be interrupted. Animations and cast times cannot. If Poppy ended her ult's channel right before Sion hit her, he would hit her and stun her (ending his Unstoppable status) and then her ult would hit him, knocking him back.
Poppy's ultimate can not knock him back during his ultimate. Do you have any proof of this because I've played a lot of Poppy into that match-up and could never ult him back. It could have been during the end of his charge, when he is smashing the floor, that part may not be cc immune.
He can also change its direction by disconnecting

That's real demacian justice lol. If this is true, then hammer is probably coded as some sort of terrain/trampoline thingy since terrain stops sion ult.
I could see the argument that Poppy's Hammer is considered to be terrain.
When Sion collides with terrain his charge is terminated.
If she ults him, it just knocked him up and away like normal, I think hes still charging too.
I watched the replay to see things better. Both ultimates landed. Sion just didn't stuff hers.
wait... im 100% sure i poppy ulted a sion before and he didnt care during his ult hmmm. what about her w? her e is "obvious". if you dont walk forward a bit after the e, your model didnt actually connect enough with his to stop him
Psh, that's nothing. Shyvanna can make Sion run the other way. Ult into an ulting SIon so she would drag him and he will get turned around and run away. Its actually hilarious and boils done to basically weird code interactions between 2 unstoppable effects.
same for Vi ult. unstoppable my ass! i got knocked back by tris ult, knock up by poppy ult, i even got chanceled by a fcking blast cone.
i understand that i cant ult out of camille ult. but stuff like tris ult? the unstoppable effect is there to outplay those skills. wtf
If Poppy was stunned that means Sion hit her, and was no longer unstoppable. She just released the hammer with perfect timing.
