Bad Matchups

I have now found no point in playing ranked games. I am generally always matched with other players that have a greatly lower skill level and I lose. I mean, I have had a bad day of league and it happens to everyone but I can go 5 wins in a row and and have it all undone because for my qualifying games to advance, I some how always get matched with people that play as if it is their first ranked game. and I then get sent all the way back to the start of my division. I have actually had it happen where one of the players I was matched with was actually playing his 3rd ever ranked game. Something needs to happen so that people don't get stuck in bronze just because of the people that they are stuck playing with. I understand that people have off days, but this is getting absurd and just irritating. I've been stuck in bronze 2 and 3 for the past 6 months because my team match-up. Ranking up has just become too impossible for a lot of people or maybe its just me but I personally feel like something could and should be done about this. Or at least give us some credit or points for doing well. Even though we lose, I still want points for trying my best with a bad team.

Honestly, I'm at my wit's end with LoL right now. I climbed out of Bronze twice in the past, and nearly all the way to Gold--lost two advancement series to get into Gold a few seasons ago.

I went 7-3 in my Season 6 placement matches, with two S-Ranked games, one B, and the rest in the A range. I had good teams, and I played really well myself. I got put in Silver V. Fine (I think the placement games are total BS and they look primarily at where you were in the previous season, but whatever). "I'll climb up again." I told myself.

Apparently that will not happen this season. My win rate hovers around 40%, which is the lowest it's ever been in the 7 years I've played LoL, off and on. I cannot sustain any LP over zero in Silver V. I've researched, practiced, rinsed and repeated over and over. What worked twice before is no longer working.

Thing is, what worked before was as much teamwork as individual improvement. Look at my past threads from years ago, giving advice on how to climb the ranking ladder: I talk primarily about teamwork and communication, starting in the champion lobby. It just doesn't work anymore. The community has changed now because of this Team Selection, I guess. Players can choose the role they want, which means they've already got their champ in mind. Synergy and Team Comp be damned. Or, like a game last night, where a player complained that he got his Secondary role, so he played like he didn't even care the whole game because he just wanted us to surrender at 20 so he could try again. He told us that the first time I ganked and he didn't even bother to join the fight.

But what really annoys me is, as you've written here, the fact that it seems like the other team, more often than not, has teamwork and coordination, whereas mine does not. Further annoying is the fact that my placement games went so well. Where did those teams go? I wasn't annoyed at being placed in Silver V at first, until I realized that I'd be stuck there forever and I'd never be able to play games like my placement series again.

The thing is you CANNOT climb going in solo. Its almost impossible its like taking a gamble...the only way to effectivly climb is by creating a team or joining one. Going into games with friends who you know can hold their own. Dont EVER NEVER EVER NEVER EVER EVER EVEN THINK OF GOING IN SOLO...NEVER. You must be out of your damn mind. I have created my own club 40 people strong now that i play ranked with,....i havent gone in solo for over half a year and i have catapulted in rank because of it. Lone wolves in this game eat shit and die do yourself a favor and find some buddies to play with.

I agree, impossible to try and even carrycarry, season 6 has just been garbage, I preferred league back in its old days

Absolutely garbage Matchups, and I can't understand why RIOT is still not doing anything against this, even with that amount of money.
