[Suggestion] Alter Ardent Censer's buff to a % damage increase
So aside from the hype around it when it was released, I have never seen a support build it seriously. I've seen it built a couple times when games were a stomp, since players tend to troll build a bit when that happens, however I've never seen a support be in a close game and go "I think it's a good idea to build Ardent." So why is this? It's not like it's an overly expensive item, infact it is quite cheap, and for it's base stats you do get your gold investment's worth. Plus you have the passive on top of it all, what's not to love? Well, the passive is really just too situational. With most ADCs builds, the AS boost isn't really strong enough to have a noticeable impact on their DPS, although obviously it will be slightly increased. This however is a problem, as granting AS creates a very very small niche for the item, which arguably doesn't even get filled too greatly. So my suggestion is this. Substitute the AS passive for a small % increase in the target's damage for a brief period of time. Now, not only does it have better synergy with ADCs who aren't super AS reliant, but it also buffs up the other members of your team, widening the niche that it fulfils.
Would it be too strong? I doubt it. After all, Ardent typically has to compete with Mikael's for a spot in an item build, and it is currently a no contest, with the latter just being over all a better support item. Plus, the strength of the passive would be subject to the strength of the % damage increase and duration, both of which can be tweaked until a state of balance is found.
