Loosing LP because of an AFK and auto fill

I'm currently Silver V and I am honestly having a hard time climbing (LAN) two things make it extra hard to climb, one, people in this Elo obviously haven't spent 100s of hours learning different champs for different roles and different match ups, usually they pick a main lane, secondary and then jump in ranked to try their luck and skills, auto fill at Bronze, Silver and Gold is completely unnecessary, how much of the Que are you actually shaving off with auto fill? I rather wait 15 extra minutes if that were the case than 20+ and loose LP, Riot should really turn that off for lower elo and another thing that is making it extra hard is when people AFk whether it be rage, technical difficulties or life simply called and I find that losing LP for that, well for the other 4 players, is also unfair and really kills the fun, yes the afker should be punished for going afk on a game but does the 4 remaining team mates deserve that? There has to be a solution for this, and don't say climb out and it gets better, I AM TRYING
