How Riven can (sometimes) be the easiest champion in the entire League to defeat in lane.
DISCLAIMER: Before you instantly upvote or downvote depending on the title, know this about me: I don't like Riven. Whether or not she is completely broken is up for debate, but she does have a rather overly strong kit with a lot of escape, CC, and escapes/engages for one champion to have. That coupled with higher base damage makes her a tough customer to beat. Hard to beat, but not impossible. From personal experience, Rivens can possibly be the easiest champion in the entire League of Legends to defeat in lane, and here is why I think so.
Rivens are hard to beat. The kit is a hard topic to cover, but has garnered more than its fair share of hatred here on the Boards. But sometimes, Rivens are very easy to beat. This is a side effect of not a weak kit, but a weak player. Riven players (in case some of you haven't noticed) tend to be a bit more... hostile, let's say, to other players. But they are also extremely cocky. SOME of them, not all. This is what can lead to an easy downfall of possibly the most hated champion in the League. Even without the constant chat shoutings, you can really tell if one is cocky. Popping ults before you are really dead, trying to jump/flash combo you and missing, ect. All of these things are telltale signs that this person is overly confident in their abilities. So, try to use this to your advantage in any way you can. Lure them into popping everything they have on you, then close in for the kill. I can really almost imagine the dumbstruck look on their faces when I kill them after a failed flash combo attempt. "It happened to ME? But... but how could this be? I'm perfect in every way!" I realize this is not helpful or a guide, if you want one of those you'll have to look it up. This is simply telling you that a cocky Riven, is a bad Riven. And God knows there are more than a few cocky Rivens in the League. Good day.
