Looking at the Ashe changes so far just seems like gutting of her Q... for no reason.

Ranger's Focus

Removed: Cooldown.
Removed: Cast Ranger's Focus at less than 5 Focus.png Focus stacks.
Removed: Volley or Enchanted Crystal Arrow granting Focus. Basic attacks only.
Removed: 20% increase of Frost Shot's Slow.
Activation consumes all Focus stacks and Ashe will not generate stacks while the effect is active.

As it stands now:

Ranger's Focus COST: 50 Mana COOLDOWN: 18

Passive: Ashe gains a stack of Focus for 4 seconds whenever she slows an enemy, stacking up to 5 times. Volley and Enchanted Crystal Arrow only grant up to one stack per cast.

Rangers Focus Active: Ashe consumes her current Focus stacks, gains bonus attack speed and causes Frost Shots to slow by an additional 20% for 4 seconds.

Bonus Attack Speed: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40%

Rangers Focus 2 Empowered Active: If Ashe has 5 stacks on activation, Ranger's Focus also causes each of her basic attacks to fire a flurry of five arrows. Each arrow deals modified physical damage that benefits from Frost Shots and life steal, and each flurry triggers on-attack effects five times but on-hit effects only once.

「 Damage Per Arrow: 23 / 24 / 25 / 26 / 27% AD 」

So this takes away her bonus attack speed steroid. This reduces Ashe's short trade game play to auto attacks, and Volley... you lose the option to use Rangers Focus early to increase your atk spd to get in extra damage in a short trade. You also lose the extra 20% slow to kite, or escape your opponent during dives, all ins, and ganks.

In a laning situation you can hit minions 5 times to get ready to start a fight... but that is just dumb, pretty much any other ADC can just walk up and start their contribution in a teamfight or gank, one of Ashe's abilities is locked out until 5 autos now, meaning its only good for all ins.

Then the "enhanced slow" crit interaction nonsense, means that she can get up to a 50% perma slow late game?

Frost Shot New Effect - Critical Slow: Ashe now has a 1% chance per 1% of her critical strike chance to double Frost Shot's slow to 10 / 18 / 26 / 34 / 42 / 50% and trigger on-crit effects. The slow decays to the standard amount over the duration.

So they removed the extra slow from her Q, then made a gimmicky interaction with her passive with crits, and at level 16 a high crit perma 50% slow just sounds oppressive...

All the changes to Caitlyn seem like an effort to bring strong marksman role dynamics to the character, the changes so far for Ashe seem like something that was half though up before a balance team member had coffee in the morning.

Tell me Im wrong, and this is the same sort of dynamic role reinforcement that Cait is getting, and I just cant see it.
