What is your opinion on the current state of Sylas?

Personally I really like him and think he is a good scaling champion right now, his wave clear could get a small buff and his laning phase is nearly impossible to win unless you play very safe until at least lvl 5 or 6. Also i really like the base hp scaling over the game per lvl up so i dont get insta-killed in team fights late game anymore!

Feel free to post your opinion on the current state of Sylas in the comments below!

Well I'm disappointed. He went from a fighter (ish) to an assassin.

Tank sylas is mega strong rn, almost impossible to kill if he has spirit visage.

Sylas is extremely strong. His early game damage is.... something else, and it only gets stronger.

looks pathetic in early to me, how the fuck are you guys who are playing him saying he's got this early game damage? did i just find a bad sylas? :/

His early dmg is a complete joke, you should play passive until 6+, then he just pops off

I feel like with W>E>Q max he feels really good. Not meta defining or anything, but certainly strong enough that you can blind pick him and not feel completely screwed. Q>W>E is an option for lanes where you struggle to not be permanently under turret. Early game sucks and his level 6 power spike is usually less than his opponent's. Feels like you can start playing the game on Revolver/Lost Chapter depending on how you're building.

I've also been doing the old Ekko start of Corrupting>First Back Dark Seal + Dorans Ring for lanes where I feel like I can win. You're very powerful at that point but it obviously sets you back on your main items which with protobelt rush is usually something to avoid. Worth it if you can turn a kill from it, not if you can't.

Farming is just a nightmare though. The passive does so little damage that it is difficult to farm with and if you're maxing W you have no waveclear ability whatsoever since Q is practically a glorified passive proc.

I love sylas as a champion and his lore. And I'm so mad they took him out of a the jungle but honestly with the whole attack speed thing instead of animation canceling I think it feels better at later levels.

he is a monster

Post rework he's powerful, but not fun or satisfying to play, at least for me. His old play style felt like Lucian or Riven, rewarding animation canceling and auto attack weaving in a quick flowing pattern. Now he's some bizarre Kassadin/Aatrox hybrid where his early game sucks, his scaling is insanely strong and his play pattern, once he has 2ish items, is "Did I hit my E2 into Q properly? Well I guess you're dead then."

sylas is only as strong as the zoe he steals the R from.
