On balance, unhealthiness, and being antifun

So our first case study is Tryndamere. OP or not, you can't give a champion with infinite sustain no mana/energy. It makes him borderline impossible to force out of lane. Now, that would be fine, but if you try to dive him to kill him and actually force him out of lane, he has instant invincibility that lasts 5 seconds, which he can use while cc'd. Now this too would be fine, but if you then give that champion the ability to heal for half of his health afterwards by instantly filling his bar, then you get a problem.

Our second case study is Aatrox. Riot did the same thing, (sustain, no resources (basically cause he gets it all back with sustain), and invulnerability) except they released him at a time when champions like him were the epitome of the game's problems. This seems kinda silly to me.

Our third case study is Ekko. He was absolutely insane on release. He had, and still has everything. So they nerfed his damage hard, and turned him into a tanky nightmare waiting to happen, then they had to nerf him again. Instead of removing something from his overloaded kit, and keeping his identity, they made a monster waiting to happen, one which they then nerfed hard again.

Last case study is TahmKench. So he came out absolutely awful. Now the main issue is, he has too much power on one ability (his W), and the rest of his moves are somewhat lacklustre. So they gave him free damage on his ult. IMO his W should've been his ult on a higher CD, and then they could've given him a real passive.

I could write more, but it's late in EU.
