New jungle far too rough?!

The new jungle, in my opinion, seems far too strong for most junglers to make it through. If I don't get a good leash on blue, I am at risk to dying to red buff and that just doesn't feel right. I should be able to clear my buffs without being left at 30% health. I really don't think I'm doing anything wrong here, they just made the new jungle far too powerful. I feel like I need a spammable heal or cc to be able to get through this place with no issues. Hell, they even made it so that if you die to the jungle you keep your buffs, because they KNEW that this jungle would be hell on Runeterra.

If anyone else disagrees, can you recommend champions or a new strategy that may ease my jungling experience for the future? I really want to jungle but with these new changes I'm not so sure.. Thanks in advance!

But on a more Serious note, if you are struggling, take into consideration that this jungle feels like a S1 jungle with better itemization and tools. If you are truely having an issue, WW is a champ to look at, but in reality any champion with good sustain and decent damage can do well. Old time faves include Udyr and WW, but I could see Aatrox and Trundle (I mean, this is what he was made for). Once you get more comfortable in these champs, try to branch out from what feels comfortable to you before trying hard things

As far as paths, either start the old double golems>wolves>Blue, or if you need the mana regen try to start blue>wolves>wraiths. Save red till about halfway through your first pass until you know what you are doing, as the heal from defeating it will really help. Only gank early if the enemy is super pushed, and even then only if you are finished with your first pass (the exception is garunteed kills). Invading is good after a couple camps, just wait at red for a champion with good CC and the enemy is yours. Only try it if you know how to speed through the 2 camps. Spec armor seals and flat ad reds. Blues can either be cdr or MR, and quints could either be Lifesteal or more flat AD. Masteries depend on the champion, but you want at least 9 in defense.

If you wanna truly git gud though, practice. Run through the first clear repeatedly until you can safely get through it with more than half HP without backing. Try kiting the enemies a little between auto attacks, as that does reduce their AS a little (Protip: don't bother if all the mobs attacking you are ranged, it won't affect their bottom line unless you just run away from that fight.) Find the fastest route from camp to camp, and try to learn the normal timing of the river crabs from spawn. That way, you can always just quick try for those early if you get unlucky against an invade. Learn the best time to smite to last hit while getting the most damage from it, and learn just how much you need to throw at each camp to get the quick smite buff and move on.

Either start at golems (AA junglers) or poison toad thing (tank).

Maokai can start blue no problem > wolves > red > gank @ 75% health.

Still testing with other junglers.

The jungle is jacked up right now. Give full EXP back at the very least.

Start either Gromp to blue to wolves then back. Or start Krugs to red to raptors, then back.

I found starting red buff will save you from using a level 1 mana pot. Smite it about halfway through to heal yourself and after killing it you get a nice little heal over time aswell.

Red will also help your clearspeed significantly.

highly recommend

Some junglers got seriously butchered with the new jungle/items. Jungling is also a lot more complicated now, and one of the things I'm seeing a lot is doing a buff and 1-2 camps and then backing and clearing the other side so you have health to gank.
