Jungle Guide for dummies

This thread is dedicated to all of you out there that struggle with the jungle role. I am jungle main on Eune and currently sit in D4.

Let's start with what you role means.

A jungler has 2 jobs in a game. To pressure and to relieve pressure from the enemy jungler. Easy and plain. This is what you have to do.

As a jungler you need to have alot of game knowledge. You should be the shot caller in team.Before the game starts take a look over your team and over the enemy team. And try to think which lanes has kill potential. Who has ignite, who has TP, what jungler are you up against etc. Overall, the ideea is that, you should know before how the lanes will play out, atleast the first levels;)..and you should know what you can and you can't do. Believe it or not. this is a team game..you can't go invading the enemy jungler if he has a LB mid and you have a Katarina mid..the follow-up won;t be there and you risk dying in 1 vs 2 scenario. Ofc everything is based on assumptions. The better your game knowledge, the better you can risk certain plays

I personally love doing skirmishes..2 vs 2, 3 vs 3..i love this little battles. I know when to take them and how to win them. And my champion pool allows me to have a great imapct early bcs of this. This small battles, can win you the game. But only take them, if you are either in a good position, you have better early champs or you have the upper hand in this. Basicly take this fights if you can win them. If not, it;s better to not fight. The worse thing that can happen is to be surprised.. you are in a 3 vs 3 scenario and their adc shows up:|..really bad..you probably lost the game out of that. Always be aware of things and not get surprised;).

How to win from jungle. As every other role, you need to dominate the enemy jungler.. The best way to do this, is by controlling him..you can controll him threw mid lane pretty easy..if you have a succesfull gank mid, it;s highly likely that the jungler will come mid to hold the wave. You need to controll him, so he doesn't have an impact on the game. Vision will give you the advantage in fights. For example, Kha'zix counters Vi, but if Vi manages to hit a full charged Q on you..she will win the fight..Trying to be sneaky and playing smart always is rewarded;)

Ganking, after you do a gank (with kill or not) the enemy will back off. Trust me on this.. Push the lane, help your laner push the lane.You should do this everytime you gank, unless the wave is pushing towards them( and they can win more by just freezing the lane).. But in all other aspects..a gank is not done, if you don;y push the lane. What will happen if you don;t do this? it's simple..your laner will have a really bad back..meaning, that the enemy can get to his lane faster, push and roam..affects both of you.. Or, your laner will die to a gank bcs he has no mana or wave clear..and he is trying to push..Or the worst case, the enemy laner TPs back and he is denied 1-2 waves forced to overextend to farm. Understand that 300 gold from a kill and a few minions are not that important..what's important is this.. XP and denying the enemy XP.. There is a limited amount of resources in the game (minions spawn every 30 seconds) so, if you can deny them something, it's great;)

Playing the game.. This game is all about rotations. Try to avoid 5 vs 5, bcs it'a toss of coin most of the time.. You need to rotate and fight when it suits you.

Imagine a big wave stacking bot. This is the best time to force a fight. even if you lose that fight..it;s OK,, bcs they just lost alot of minions/gold/xp bot side. Always having lanes pushed it's very good for your team;)..never fight when they are pushed towards you. Bcs if you lose that fight- it;s probably game.

Baron- learn what teams can do baron really easy. A few champions like vayne, kindred, yasup,heimerdinger, sated jungler, blade of the ruined king champs.. this guys, destroy baron..always understandt, that at 20 min mark..every mistake is hard punished;)..Baron means game or a comeback;)..If you are very behind, you should try to force a baron fight.. you have nothing to lose;)..

Look at timers. When you invade, try to get the timer on red/blue..this can be used as bait for the enemy jungler and colapse on him. Most good junglers, will do their buffs on time..so, be aware of that. and surprise them there;)..take the fight on your own term;)

Before you fight for an objective, try to prep it ..wards, blue trinkets etc. it's really bad to get surprised and get fcked just bcs you didn't had vision there.

Another important lesson.

Learn to give out objective..if the enemy is stronger than you. Learn to give up dragons etc. Try to make them waste time. They can always throw a game;)..especially if you have wave clear;)..if they decide to siege with no baron, well, it's very good for your team..they are buying you time..This is how they throw the game;)...But, don't let them have baron. Baron means game usually:)..so, better fight that.

As far as feeding lanes goes. Remember this, you play your own game. Fck them, if they feed, it's bad, but you can;t do much..Try to carry yourself;). Sometimes you need to give up a lane. Ik it sucks, but, if you don;t do that. You will fall behind too. Your laners should understand that they lost their lane pretty hard. And shutting down the enemy requires more than 2 people. Well, it's pretty bad. You as a jungler can still carry. If you have a weak laner, chances are, that the enemy has a weak one too;)..Abuse that. Also, depending on what champion is fed and team comps. you have a chance at winning;). For example if the enemy has a fed Jinx and you are playing VI. Well, it doesn;t really matter how fed she is, you will still be able to kill her. But, if the enemy has a fed riven and you play vi.. Well, i would stay away from Top. I would rush armor and try to get ahead in another lane.This is the best way to carry by yourself;)

Remember this- don't give a fck about your team. If you plan on climbing, you need to get good;)And winning games doesn;t make you good.. but understanding how you won the game-makes you good;)
