What is everybody in the Gameplay Forums Board's favorite role to play and why? As well as what is your favorite champions in this role. I don't mean Top lane, or Bot lane. I mean things like Juggernauts, Immobile Mages, Mobile Mages, Poke ADC, off tanks, Sustain fighters, e.t.c.

For example, I love to play the Juggernauts because I love their specific playstyle. I like playing Yasuo because of his reaction play style, and Ekko because of his Prediction play style, and many of my favorite Juggernauts are a mix of this.

Illaoi, for example, you have to predict positioning of your opponents to guarantee your E and Q damage, as well as place safe tentacles you can fall into, and your reactions include when it's best to ult to hit as many people, and when someone ganks you, you have to react with the placement of your ult. Darius is mostly reaction but, again, should predict his opponent's positionings, to max out on how many people are hit with your Q, and placing your Passive on someone. But both of those things become reactionary on practice when things hit the fan.

I would say DPS Fighters or True Tanks.

When I want/need to be a damage source for my team, I am absolutely garbage at most Burst based Assassins and Mages. I mean, I get by I suppose, and I certainly know how to play ADC sufficiently to fill without feeding, but when given the choice between Kassadin or Veigar to fight against a Katarina in Mid Lane, I'd take Xin Zhao.

On a slightly more serious note, I've always found my preference is towards melee champions. My favorite champion, straight up, is Master Yi ever since I learned how to play him Mid Lane. Between Yasuo and Yi, I just naturally picked up all sorts of 1v1 duelist skills revolving around abusing enemy cooldowns and knowing how to negate or mitigate enemy abilities. It's really one of the biggest skills that I've put the most time into refining, and I'm personally proud of it. Eventually though, about the time I got really "serious" about playing Ranked, I realized that macro strategy trumps duelist skills. I eventually transitioned into "Juggernauts" (this was before the official term was coined) and then True Tanks, as their bulkier HP pools provided better towards balancing team comps, and they often came with tools designed to take down objectives. This turned into my second major skill, my obnoxious objective control. My friends who played with me from S4 to mid to late S5 all know me as straight up obsessive over maintaining Dragon Control and Tower Superiority. Nowadays I'm trying to branch out a bit when I can in normal games, but for Ranked, I certainly know that my place is in Top Lane or Jungle playing a Duelist based Fighter and executing a simple macro strategy with them.
