I agree completely with how terrible the ranked experience is rn. I played ranked today and this is how it went :(
Game 1: Very smooth victory on all lanes and not really much toxicity from anyone.
Game 2: Enemy smurfs and a Caitlyn on my team who was intentionally trying to drop elo and went 1/13 as a result. Unwinnable despite the rest of the team's best efforts.
Game 3: MY team got a smurf botlane who continuously reminded the rest of us to "play for botlane" and flamed anyone who died elsewhere on the map. they lost their lane and spent the rest of the game raging at the team, even telling our jungler to please disconnect (which he did). The adc in particular kept reminding us that we were garbage plat players who would never climb (although he put it in far more colorful terms). We lost that game of course.
Game 4: I got autofilled support (meh, happens) and was doing all I could to not tilt. Bot lane was going fine until I realized our Ryze mid was hard losing mid and raging at the jungler for not saving his lane. He spam pinged jungler for several minutes straight as he flamed him, calling him a trash plat player once again and more of the like. He then said peace and left the game very early in. We 4v5ed as long as we could until 15 mins in and surrendered.
Game 5: Yet another loss, this time due to a smurf duo bot lane crushing ours. They were low level accounts with 82% wr and it was clear that they were ahead of everyone else. Despite other winning lanes, we couldn't salvage it and lost.
This is just from today and I can assure everyone that this happens constantly and sometimes is worse than this. I don't claim to be that good but even at my mid-high plat elo there are serious smurfing problems in the game as well as general toxicity thats ruining matches. I won't even get started on the state of balance in the game which is clearly not helping but yeah... garen is busted rn...
