Statistical Impossibility

I have played 317 Ranked games, of those games the expectant troll/afk and dc would be on my team, yes i acknowledge that, but then why of those 317 games i can count on 1 hand how many dc/afk/RQers the enemy team has? Whether you believe me or not is up to you, but of those 317 games, my opposing team only had 1 dc, 2 rage quiters, and 6 trolls, so out of 317 games only 9 games the enemy team was handicapped, yet my recent game history, in the last 20 ranked games i played, i have 7 dc, 3 RQers, 5 trolls and 1 guy who left because of an emergency. This feels rather one sided, when the massive lag spikes and DDoS attacks happened my entire team dced, myself included ut the enemy team had all 5 members experiencing no trouble. I may not be an exception or exclusive to this, but seriously the frequency at which this happens on my teams is impossible. So is this riot just fcking with me?

It feels rather one-sided because you only experience one side of the coin. You don't know what was going on in the other team's chat, so you can't know for sure if they have a rager or a troll. Also, there's the whole memory bias thing, too. Negative experiences that happen to you tend to be easier to remember.

I know solo Q is random and all but do you honestly expect me to believe that you kept record of 317 games .

When a teammate feeds he's trolling/feeding. When an enemy feeds, your teammate (or yourself) is just that good to get that far ahead. This is a typical view, and with it you will always count more negative issues on your team than against you.

Also, DCs and RQs... perhaps you don't notice when an enemy DCs? Or maybe you're producing an attitude that's making your teammates RQ? The only common factor in those 317 games is you, so I'm sure you can see where I'm going.

To have your whole team disconnect and say the other team had no problems... well that admittedly is weird. Maybe 1 player on their team was a supergenious and hacked you all out of the game (seems unlikely). Otherwise maybe your whole team just happened to be in the same geographical area and there was an issue from that location. In 317 games that would only be a 0.3% hit rate, which seems reasonable (in a large enough sample even the most ridiculous things will happen).
