Gaming the Game Ranking System?

So nobody really knows for sure how to get an S- or above in game. The boards are peppered with quite a few posts about people getting these crazy KDA's and getting only A+. It's such a mystery.

Well, I've got a two-step method that seems to work astoundingly often for every role except Support. After trying this method for a couple of weeks in my main account, 80% of all my games seem to get an S- at least, regardless of my KDA and whether we actually win the game. Just today, I lost a game playing Xin Zhao. Still, despite a couple of members of the enemy team carrying far harder than I did, I was the only one to get an S in that game.

Here's my Two-Step Method to get an S- or above often:

Step 1: Get a lot of CS/min.

This seems to be one of the biggest determinants to getting an S- or above. I was playing Taliyah today and went 11-9-6, but my CS for a 36 minute game was 344. I got an S- for that game. In another game, I was playing Nocturne and went 2-4-22, but my CS for that 28 minute game was 283. I got an S for that game. Basically, the more CS/min, the higher the grade.

Step 2: BUY A SIGHTSTONE.

"What?! But I'm not a support!!!" Exactly! Amount of wards placed in comparison to your role's average seems to be another huge determinant to getting an S- or above. The first three games where I bought a Sightstone on my Taliyah, I got the three mastery tokens I needed to get Level 7 on her. The first time I bought Sightstone on my Xin Zhao, I got an S+ on him. The second, third, and fourth time I bought a Sightstone for my Fiora, I got S- on her. Yes, it sorta delays your powerspikes by 800 gold, but the sheer utility a second Sightstone brings to the team seems to win me more games anyway, and it makes melook so much more like a team player to both the system and my teammates. Nobody knows I do it only for the grade.

Try it out, guys! Farm those juicy Level 6 and 7 Mastery Emotes. I already have four Level 7's (Xin Zhao, Taliyah, Talon, Volibear) and 9 Level 6's (Blitzcrank, Karma, Malphite, Garen, Darius, Fiora, Nocturne, Tristana, and Yorick). CS/min + Sightstone is OP.
