Wards help win games, we all know this. So in a scenario where an opponent is in a bush and you already had a ward there, so your team jumps on him/her, don't you deserve an assist for that kill? Of course there would be restrictions to the assist like the enemy must have taken damage while there was vision on him or something like that, so everyone won't spam a ward to get an assist. Just a thought though 
I kinda like this idea, but instead of giving assists for all wards. They should give gold per second for wards placed by sightstone, so those pesky sightstone supports who dont like to ward have a reason to. That would be a reason to actually upgrade the sightstone before building any other items past it.
Not denying the validity that wards win games but I just find it hilarious that down here in silver, wards stop doing shit after laning phase idk, for whatever reason I cannot find any of their wards no matter how frequenty i sweep and they never seem to run into our wards it's like us silvers magically avoid wards
I think the amount of kills ward secured for me outside of laning phase is like.. zero lmao idk were their team is, but it certainly isnt anywhere near my wards
