Im just wondering why riot puts no effort into making dominion an appealing game mode. No ranked mode and no champion points for playing the game? Makes the game alot less fun. Even if the map would never be as popular as Summoners rift I think riot should still try to make the map appealing... People like to see progress of them becoming better when playing a game. If they cant see that they are getting higher rank or more champion points on their favorite champ whats the point? I feel like you guys might as well delete the gamemode or revamp it with updates and balance changes to items and champions...

The game mode is great fun. However, there's various issues that haven't been addressed for years, such as

New player experience. Few guides or streams to learn from, plus bots in PvP games. Dom games don't even show up in Featured Spectate anymore.
Meta stagnation. Balance changes are incredibly rare, so the same power picks dominate for ~~years~~months on end.
Popular perception. The overall League playerbase treats Dominion as a joke (e.g. "lol what's dominion"), despite knowing little, if anything, about the game mode.
Community relations. Riot's typically had very little interaction with the Dominion community (aside from maybe the one guy handling the map). There's a bunch of discussion and conversation for SR, but mostly radio silence for Dom.
Player progression. No ranked/ladder/rewards means no motivation for players to improve. The only thing high MMR gets you is long queue times.

Chicken and egg problem, essentially. The general playerbase doesn't support Dominion because Riot doesn't support Dominion, and Riot doesn't support Dominion because the general playerbase doesn't support Dominion.

I like Dominion but the main problem are the bots. If you loss a game because a damn bot just feed the whole enemy team it dont make fun. I even had a game with 3 bots in my team and 0 in the enemy team...(soory for bad grammar)

Honestly, if they are not going to take care of it then they need to remove it and put it in game mode cycle.

While I love the game mode, most LOL players don't like change. So if it's not SR, they won't even give it a chance. No point in that case :l

Dominion may be a fun mode but not alot people play it because aram and summoner rift are more fun.

Most dominion players don't want ranked and if they do want it they will stop once they think about all of the bad things that will happen. Champion points are fairly new and plenty of people played this game before them.

The real concerns are that the map is old and broken(point capturing doesn't work right), the item selection is mediocre, and there is basically no balancing of champions for the mode.
