You know what I don't understand

Why people are just now realizing that mages are in a really bad spot without their utility after the mage rework. The mage rework lowered the average AP of most builds by about 150 and removed mana regen from mages. Forcing mages to build more into utility. And that utility just happened to be in an overloaded item that often acts as a crutch for half the mages in mid lane ( ). Mages lost their late game with the mage rework. They lost their lane sustain. Their only choice is to build slightly beefier with more utility. I remember when a mid laner with a max stack mejai's could hit over 1k AP and not be Veigar. I remember when having 1k AP didn't mean having insane CDs and almost no mana regen (but your mana pool was shallow as fuck).

It's really hard to do anything as a mage once you take away from mid laners. Because it has been a crutch for them for so long and based held the whole mage rework together. Take away . Goodbye .

The mage rework left a huge gap for most mages. And taking away the crutch that kept quite a few champs up there means: are all going to see huge play again. Right in time for the assassin rework. So GJ Riot we are going to go back to the cancer in mid lane again. The cancer of feeling like you can't do anything for the entire game because assassin's are going to dominate.
