Bronze to Plat in one season

I remember season 3 when I started league of legends I mained jungle Elise. Mainly because it was the most popular jungler in the LCS. the problems that I had with my season 3 ranked play though, was that I was only good in the jungle, and I was a burden to my team if left into any other role that wasn't jungle. Season 4 I sought to improve my versatility by playing in different roles, mainly bot lane. Season 4 I was bronze but managed to start learning a little bit more about stutter stepping, learning to flash crucial stuns in 1v1 scenarios, I found myself trying to outplay anyone that crossed my path even if it meant going against a fed cass as a feeding vayne. I would like to call this phase: learning my limits. It may have been feeding but it really helped me learn what I could and could not do. Take your time when you play and after every death literally take a second and try to understand what went wrong, don't flame and blame your support, everything was on you, if your thresh didn't land that hook you made the mistake continuing to go in. At the end of season 4 I was frustrated because I felt that I had the potential, I'd watch videos and tell myself I could do that if my team would just not feed and let me carry the game. But as soon as I turned to the replay system my view of the game changed dramatically, I began to notice obvious mistakes, like making it to lane late, missing easy farm, overcommitting for poke and taking Aggro from minions. It really sounds tedious to replay a game from start to finish only to watch yourself lose but you seriously learn a lot about the mistakes you made, and you won't be making them again, you'll go into a game and tell yourself I have to watch out of this cc, that cc and etc. A huge improvement to my game was watching pro streamers. Yes they are very entertaining but do not take the advice they occasionally give lightly, ask yourself even when you're watching double lift or faker play on YouTube, "why did he do that?" Again "WHY DID HE DO THAT???" This is the way out, I'm telling you, I would constantly flame in games and the one thing it does is keep you from asking yourself "why did he do that, where did I go wrong" season 5 was a steady climb to platinum but there were some rough patches along the way, just learn that in every Elo there are toxic and bad people, Gold is no heaven, platinum probably the worst, the solution to all of them? Just press mute. I would highly advice taking a break after going on a losing streak, trust me you may be on tilt and taking the time to rest and get your mind off the past few games is very beneficial to you. Good luck on the rift summoners!

In season six "Then I just learned to play mid kind of okay and the system normally put me at jungle because there were more people playing mid. I mostly played jungle and moved up playing that, and when I got stuck mid sometimes my team carried me so it worked out because I didn't play it very much. Still have no idea what orb walking is, the cool downs of most champs, or a lot of other stuff."

Replay.gg you say? What I was trying to do was record myself each game and see what mistakes I made, but that has the downside of if I didn't have my camera on it the first time I still won't see it the second time.

Riot, plz.

I'll take basic composition for $1000 Alex.

A: Reading between the lines. Q: What are paragraphs?

On topic, I wish match-maker would give me my prefered role. I haven't gotten it even once out of about 10 queues.

@TragicLegend

Congratulations on getting to Platinum. I am glad you went through the journey of over-coming your struggles. I've seen many players go through a lot of the same struggles and it's awesome to see players climb through it. In my experiences playing League of Legends, I have learned that I can be at any ranking I am willing to work for (Including LCS). I would encourage you to try to maintain a CS amount about 9.0 per minute. I would also encourage you to eliminate your average deaths to 3. These things will help you climb your way to Diamond, Master and even Challenger. I would love to know how your progress goes throughout season 6. I use plays.tv and I thoroughly enjoy it. I would recommend trying it out if you have any dislikes in any program you use.

Also, I help a lot of players reach their League of Legends goals with coaching, improvement advice and skill development. I do it for free because I enjoy it more than playing. If you or anyone else have any interest, feel free to email me at [email protected].

Best of luck in your future ranking experiences. :)

Misleading title. OP has never gone bronze to plat in one season.
