I Literlay can't play vs irelia ever regardless of who im playing even if she's not in my lane i always lose the game i really don't know what to do and i feel like perma banning her is just a temporary solution
Play them, learn their strengths and weaknesses.
Well it depends on who you are playing. She is a very skill based champ of knowing when to use stuff and when to not, and if you miss the E then it is really hard to do too much. She is also very on hit reliant, so bramble vest works well seeing as her passive will be healing her a bit as well.
One useful thing i can say is play Irelia in a bot game and read all her abilities, learn how they work together, play her in a normal game a few times. See how people beat her and itemize against her, etc.
It'd be hard to explode your barrels faster than irelia can dash to them. Her all-in is definitely stronger than yours, and she has enough mobility to get out of your ult so gangplank probably isn't the best champ to fight her.
She's in a pretty bad state right now so any type of juggernaut or fighter with ninja tabis will probably get you better results.
