Purpose of enemies seeing Bard chimes?

I'm not really sure what the purpose is because it just makes it harder on Bard to collect them, especially when they're in the enemy jungle which happens A LOT. The enemy being able to see them allows them to then see Bard leave his lane and then wait at a chime for him to show up and gank him. It's already really hard for Bard to collect his chimes and become decent, he doesn't need a counter to something that's already this difficult and most times frustrating. So please, don't show the chimes to the enemy team, it's completely unnecessary.

I dunno... I kinda like it. Forces Bard not to be too reckless, and allows his enemies to know where he could potentially be (by dropping a ward or something).

I mean, to be fair it gives him mana and a speedboost, so a little counterplay by the enemy isn't too terrible. It's frustrating, but can lead to interesting strategies on both sides.

Chimes are visible to the enemy so teemo can shroom them all.

Or chimes are only visible when Bard is nearby.
