Auto fill?

Why does it exist exactly?

Wouldn't it honestly make more sense to just let the players play the role and lane they prefer/enjoy and are better at all the time? Why force them into another role? I mean most of the time it's not that they aren't "good" at that role, it's just they don't enjoy it. It's not fun to play for them.

I mean i only ever see people either

  1. Dodging the match when they get like 2 auto filled players, or dodging when they themselves get auto-filled. Or,
  2. Blaming the auto filled player for the loss of the match if they lose, or being blamed for it themselves.

Doesn't it just encourage toxicity and blaming/shaming? And for what? Role diversity? Shorter queue times?

IDK about you guys. But, Id'e be much happier waiting a few extra minutes to get the role/lane i want.... I have no interest in support, or top, or adc. I like Mid, and Jungle. Cause i can do my own thing, and most of the time, you get to avoid the most busted of the champs, like Kaisa, and Irelia. God, the names make me shudder. And by avoid, i mean, just not having to lane against them. Clearly you still have to deal with them via ganking, and team fights, and objectives, but you get the point.

IDK, just doesn't make sense why auto-fill exists, especially in ranked. LC$ there's no autofill, because it would force them into off roles... So why do we have to be forced into shit xD

IDK, i guess i am just missing the point. Id'e prefer longer queue's, and getting to play the role/lane i enjoy, over getting unhappy grumpy team mates who hate every second of their life that they are forced into playing what they don't want to, and me myself, also getting forced into something i don't enjoy, nor am good at. Like, i suck at support. I'm awful. And i don't enjoy it, not because I'm awful at it, i just don't enjoy the champ pool you lane against down in the bot lane.

I am the confuzzled. Enlighten me why this exists... When before it existed, people seemed much happier, and had way less ways to blame and shame people.
