Why are their not two systems for Unranked Promotions: Pre-rank and Post-rank
- Pre-rank Promotions will determine your associated ranking on a scale based of average statistics (KDA/Vision Score/Damage Dealt/Objectives Taken, Ect) compared to the highest tier of players.
- Post-rank Promotions will determine which rank you will then be finalized at.
I feel as though this would really help scale down the unwanted unranked players who are both new to league or simply aren't suppose to be near your ranked position. It's frustrating getting a level 31 Garen in your game who is unranked, has no concept of game statistics and/or team based mechanics.
Now Pre-ranked would obviously be half'n'half. You'd either fall above or below a fine line between upper ranked positions and lower ranked positions.
For instance: "This player did EXCEPTIONALLY well in all of his pre-rank promotions (high vision score/very high KDA) but I see in these Post-Ranked games, fighting against the higher spectrum, his statistics fell through. He did well team wise, but could not provide enough participation and did not coordinate well with his teammates. So averaged out, Gold 4."
or
"This player did poorly during his pre-ranked games, (very low vision score, average KDA, but significally low kill participation, and didn't quite do any damage to objectives. Let's compare them to the lower half of the spectrum, we will start high silver for Post-rank. 5 games later I see, this player didn't do to well fighting those higher ranked players, lets lower them down to high bronze! 5 games later They fit well within this rank. It is final, so average out, Bronze 2."
I don't know if this is an exceptionally "WELL" thought out model, but I believe it to be ridiculous to play with or against an unbalanced scale that doesn't seem to consider how well you ACTUALLY do. Just "oh, you lost? Nerf your LP!".
