I don't always play support, but when I do I never buy wards or warding items.

Trinket is sufficient for my needs, as it is in any other role. If someone feels that they need more wards they can buy them and place them. I don't get a lot of money as it is, so I'm not going to spend what I do get on vision especially with all these anti-ward items and plants.
