What are Janna's weaknesses again?

Riot's been really big on "Meaningful strengths" and "Clear weaknesses" And "Strategic Diversity".... Whatever these things mean.

Janna is consistently at like 53%+ win rate. At ALL elos. There's a problem here boys.

-Squishy -No damage -Weak engage -No sustain (laning; you can't really count her Ult as sustain) -Her bread and butter ability's mana cost is pretty high.

She's easily one of the best peelers in the game, but that's pretty much her only strength.

Poor all in potential in lane, very squishy, no real damage.

She has pretty much no damage, is pretty squishy, and is completely dependent on her team to win games.

Matches are artificially set to have a 50% winrate anyway. What's your point?

She's always been strong after the multiple nerfs she's been given. It's just the result of having a very good kit that can be used offensively and defensively. I'm almost positive you could have her abilities do zero damage and she'd still be viable.

Why is everyone saying no damage? She doesn't NEED to do damage she is one of the most impactful champs in the game. She has no sustain, yes, but her shield makes it VERY easy it win trades early. Her shield can block one auto early on and gives bonus ad. That's huge early. She's not going to dominate a lane, but it's rare you see someone dominate a Janna lane. She can babysit ANY late game adc and basically guarantee them they get late game. She can kite anyone in the game and makes champs like Shy, Trundle, Skarner, Volibear useless.

She has immense speed, cc, slows. I'm not saying she's unbeatable, but she's far too strong and has no real "meaningful" weaknesses.

What you guys are saying isn't meaningful. No damage? She doesn't need damage. Weak engage? She doesn't need to engage. She's squishy but 60% of the supports are and the way she works you're not going to simply kill a Janna.

And she's not even hard! Like you don't have to be a master at Janna to win games. You can tell a good Janna from a bad one, but you don't really need to do much for the amount of impact you have on a game.

Janna is good at peeling but she's actually really weak at all-ins. If the enemy overcomes her Q and ult, there's really not much she can do in the way of damage or protection apart from her E. So her weakness tends to be lock-downs, CC and high DPS.

The problem is that the current meta favours tanks and assassins, and that's why she's strong. She can save people from burst assassins and peel away low DPS tanks with ease.

If you want to have an easier game vs a Janna, pick someone with decent DPS and CC. Ryze is an example of someone who destroys Janna, but there are many others.

Janna is a popular pick because of her mobility and her ability to help teammates peel and escape from enemies. I used to main Janna all the time in ranked whenever I could, but nowadays, I go for Nautilus instead because Janna is just a lot more difficult to properly use to help teammates. She is incredibly squishy and if she's ever low on mana, she can be killed extremely easy, especially in the tank meta. She has fairly high cooldowns and you need to be really smart and conservative about when to use her abilities, or else it's an easy kill for the enemy team. Though she's great at peeling, she doesn't offer much in terms of damage. You could probably get away with playing her recklessly in lower elos but as you climb higher, people know how to work around her better. She's very mana hungry early game, and most of the time I see Janna's spamming their Q's resulting in a really low mana bar and thus, inability to help her adc or herself escape and you easily get a kill or two.
