#THE IDEA

  • #Ohmwrecker
    • Recipe: item 3105 + item 3024 + 300 (=2800)
    • Stats: +200 health, +20 magic resistance, +100% base health regeneration, +30 armor, 300 mana, +10% cooldown reduction
    • UNIQUE – LEGION: Grants nearby allies +15 magic resistance (1100 range).
    • Active Unchanged (that's for another discussion)

#WHY

We known the community has been divided over Ohmwrecker for some time now. Here are the most common ones:

  • Rework the active so it last longer & the deals reduced damage to champions for a fell seconds.
    • ( - ) Can get abused by hp stacking champions
  • Rework the active so it last longer & the the tower deals reduced damage for a fell seconds.
    • ( - ) Towers get even more weakers than they where.
  • Rework the active so it taunts turret agro (including turret shots that are already traveling.
    • ( - ) No longer attractive for squishy champions
  • Remain the active but let the active also work on base gates.
    • ( - ) Thematicly it doesn't fit the item
  • GIve the active something to use on ally turrets as well
    • ( - ) Thematicly it doesn't fit the item
    • ( - ) Turtle items are never a healthy idea when it comes to game ballance
  • Remove the item

None of them are perfect & all have their own pros & coins. Their have been over thousands discussion regarding the active. Today I want to suggest something compleetly different. I would like to open a new discussion regarding the recipe of the item. History wise this item has been about anything:

  • Release: item 3010 + item 1031
  • V3.02: item 1028 + item 1026 + Philosopher's Stone
  • V3.14: item 1028 + item 1026
  • V4.20 - Now: item 2053 + item 3067

When looking to this history riot managed to solve a fell issues regarding the item. Saidly their was one particular problem that they never seem to be able to solve:

Create a buildpath that allow the item to be usefull lategame while maining the option to get it as a core item to be able to utilize the active.

Does anyone remember the old item 3060. It had exactly the same problem & they managed to solve it by adding something to the recipe that was extreemly core when that situation apeared. I think we should go in the same direction with this for ohmwrecker.

With the recipe supports get a link between armor & magic resist itematisation. They get more options to adapt their build & will be able to find more situations for it's use. The item has a pretty nice set of mixed stats making is really effective against tanks & hybrids. Because the situational active I think despite all the stats the abuse would be minimal. Maybe we can see it on toplaners on some matchups but I hightly about it would be problematic.

Thoughts?
