2017 and no alternative to crit build for marksmen

So 6 seasons and still no real alternative to building IE except essence reaver which is just another crit item. Not only is crit super unfun to play with especially when adc duels become rng wars, but it forces adc to farm a lot to be strong and impactful.

But now the meta is all about jungler, top, mid coming bot to fight early game. which makes it even worse that most ad have to build crit early. Can we have another item to build that shifts power towards early/mid game instead of always having to bank on late game?

also this would probably help bring out more marksmen in bot. I'm seeing too much of the same picks

So far as an ADC main, i HATE the item builds now. i LOVED playing Lucian because you could go the item 3142 item 3071 build and it would be different from the crit build. Now with the ghostblade nerf, lucian goes for the crit build. Almost EVERY ADC goes for crit builds now and it's no fun. I've been playing a lot of Jhin because he is the only champ i act LIKE the crit build on.

I'm a fan of the on hit builds that some champions can do like varus playing around his w and guinsoos but yea the last popular alternative to the critbuild was BC Yommus full flat pen and sometimes triforce IE which was just stupid and not fun to play with or against.

Yeah, ADC item diversity just died in Season 6.

Pen build or you got dumpstered. Now it's crit build or you get dumpstered. When Kog was good, it was on-hit.

Can we ever get a meta where all 3 are viable?!
