Supports and solo lanes

Hi everyone ! The main idea behind this topic is to allow supports to be solo laners. Not to make them stronger this way or anything but just viable. For instance, Morgana can be played both as a support and a midlaner successfully On botlane, she maxes Q and provides CC whereas on midlane she maxes W which gives her waveclear. What I'm willing to do is to give to every supp (in fact I just had ideas for Alistar, Braum, Janna, Leona and Nami ; the others are already viable -Lulu, Zyra- or they will never be viable - Soraka, Thresh-) the ability to be a great solo laner with a different playstyle. These changes should be considered as small reworks and are very experimental. Just warning you, my english isn't that good, I'm a french baguette. And if you wonder what gave me these ideas, it's my Smite playing experience (Smite is another moba). In this game the support role is way more popular and supports have a very high damage potential and can be played as solo laners, sometimes they're even better this way.

Alistar The great mighty cow has always been more than just a botlaner : once a towerdiving monster coming straight out of the jungle and then an unbeatable skirmisher, dueling with Triforce on toplane. However, if you try to play Alistar solo at the moment, you gotta go as an AP mid or toplaner, fully relying on your combo to do damages, without any DPS. With the changes I bring, I intend to make of Alistar a great toplaner with DPS and survivability but easily kitable.

"Passive isn't useless anymore" When active, Trample now gives bonus physical damages on autos, against champions only. 15 + 3 per level, up to 69 at level 18

"Rebirth of the Minotaur" E "Triumphant roar" heals less but has a reduced cooldown and mana cost as well as giving to Alistar a high attack speed buff, which quickly decreases on first hits. However, heal doesn't affect minions anymore. Heal amount : 50/75/100/125/150 (+20%AP) Heal amount on allies : 50 to 100% of the actual heal, depending on the distance between Alistar and the allies. Mana cost : 50/55/60/65/70 mana CD : 12/11/10/9/8s (doesn't decrease with the deaths of ennemies anymore) Attack speed steroid : 60/75/90/105/120% to 20/25/30/35/40% (lasts for 4 seconds)

"Being unkillable wasn't enough" When ult's active, E cd is reduced to 2 seconds when in combat.

Bard Myazaki's child, raised by Riot Games is way more than a simple champion ; with a really strong roaming potential (probably the best among supports), he just needs a bit more waveclear to become a great jungler, which is what I tried to do, without improving his botlane performances.

"Caretaker's shrine now gives more cosmic vitamin" When Bard consumes his own health pack, the CD on his next meep is reduced to 0.

"Krugs will now be afraid of the healing kit" W "Caretaker's Shrine" is now considered as a small wall by the Q "Cosmic Binding".

"Because surfing above air is so cool" The movement speed boost given by chimes has a 1 second increased duration.

Braum As I tried to introduce the manliest support ever to the marvellous world of toplane, it happened that it seems to be very hard to balance two different playstyles with this kit, without making one of them stronger or weaker. So these changes might seem kinda odd but they are the best of all that came to my mind.

"Muscles power decreased" Base AD reduced to 53 AD per level reduced to 2,3

"Leather power increased" Base AS increased to 0,69 AS per level increased to 3,8%

"Sorry Lucian" Concussive blows stacks can be triggered by the same champion only every 0.85 second.

"Moustache power increased" Triggering Concussive blows himself, Braum gains Winter's Strengh for 3 seconds, a buff that gives him bonus true damages on autos. 10% of total armor and magic resist.

"Frejlord's cold" Q "Winter's bite" now steals attack speed from the target. This lasts for a few seconds but the buff/debuff is refreshed if Concussive blows triggers but can't be stacked. AS stolen : 20/25/30/35/40% Duration : 3 seconds

"The moves" Winter's Strengh damages is increased by 40/50/60/70/80% for 3 seconds after using W "Stand behind me". The damage boost duration is increased by 1 second when Concussive blows triggers (2 seconds if it procs on an ennemy champion).

"THE KING OF THE NORTH" Braum gains permanent Winter's Strengh in R "Glacial fissure" radius.

Janna I decided to give Janna better winds on midlane (lmao). I'm very proud of this one (the rework, not the joke) because I think it's totally viable as well as giving Janna a very different playstyle, with more decision making (she won't be a shielding bot like on botlane) and risks to take, for better rewards.

"Janna gives wings, like Redbull" Passive movement speed is increased to 6% and goes up with levels, up to 15% at level 18. Allies and Janna also benefit from the bonus while moving towards the Q "Howling gale".

"Smoother storm" Q "Howling gale" has increased damages and also has a new passive effect. Base AP ratio increased to 50% (for a fully charged tornado with an 80% AP ratio) Minions only take 75% of the tornado damages. New passive effect : Janna's W (forgot the name, sorry) hurts 25/50/75/100/125% more on airbone targets.

"Magic monsoon" Allies in ult radius permantly benefit from 200% of the passive movement speed (Janna's passive doesn't stack onto that). Q "Howling gale" also charges 200% faster in ult radius. Ennemies pushed back by R "Monsoon" can't used mobility spells (except flash) for 0,5/1/1,5 seconds.

Leona Here it is. If u don't wanna read too much, go to the next and last rework (Nami) or leave the page (btw thank you for reading that much). Otherwise, grab a cookie and some patience because these changes are truly truly outr....weird. So, if Leona was viable as a solo laner, she could win her lane, meaning that she could also snowball. But just think about trading against a fed Leona... That's it, much counterplay. So I tried to make her a good jungler with better clears (she already has great ganks), making the player max Q.

"Even the sun has limits" Sunlight damages reduced to 16-70.

"A whole new shield" Big changes here ; the Q now has a stack system and consumes them when casted, up to 3 stacks per use. The Q CD is incredibly reduced but it's effective only every 2.5 seconds on champions. Stacks are gained thanks to time and to E "Zenith Blade" and ultimate. Q -1 stack- Leona next basic within 4 seconds auto attack deals 30/50/70/90/110 (+25% AP) in a small area around the target. Q -2 stacks- Also stuns for 0.75 second. Q -3 stacks- Stun duration and damages are doubled. Q Cooldown reduced to 1 second. Stacks cooldown : 7/6,5/6/5,5/5 seconds Max amount of stacks : 3/6/9/12/15

"The dawn has arrived" W "Eclipse" now has a new passive effect which increases "Sunlight" damages by 20/40/60/80/100%.

"Gotta hit them all" E "Zenith Blade" and R "Solar flare" grants stacks for the Q "Shield of daybreak". Stacks granted by E "Zenith blade" are equal to 1 for every unit hit (including minions and monsters). Stacks granted by the ultimate are equal to 3 per ennemy champion hit.

Nami Our favourite mermaid is also meant to be a solid solo laner. With very high trading potential, especially thanks to her W "Ebb and flow", I'm convinced she could be a good midlaner. Sadly she needs waveclear and I'm encouraging people to max Q.

"Beware of the bubble" Q AP ratio goes up with every point invested in the spell. It's CD is also reduced. AP ratio : 30/40/50/60/70% CD : 12/11/10/9/8 seconds

"Fish power" Whenever Nami procs her E "Tidecaller's blessing" on a target, her Q "Aqua prison" and W "Ebb and flow" cooldowns are reduced by 1/1,25/1,5/1,75/2 seconds. E "Tidecaller's blessing" cooldown is also reduced to 10 seconds.

"Nami, use surf" The 5/10/15 first neutral or ennemies units and 1/2/3 first champions hit by R "Tidal Wave" are not slowed but affected by the Q "Aqua prison" crowd control effect. Afterwards, the wave's speed decreases and it only slows units and champions hit. R "Tidal Wave" AP ratio is also increased to 75% AP.
