Advice for Climbing out of Silver

Always hear people saying stuff like this and thinking meh they're probably bad. I get placed s3, easy ride into s2. Hit ~70 lp without a loss then start losing half my games. I still do about the same I'm going positive getting objectives, (Jg > mid) but every lane/Jg (depending on if I'm mid) is losing. If I'm jungle I gank early get them free kills then boom they're feeding 5 minutes later. My last 2 games had at least 2 people over 10 deaths by ~20minutes.. Went from 71lp to 10 in 4 games. I gain 25-27lp per win but feel like that's never going to happen again.

Any champ suggestions?

Currently playing these the most:

JG: Shyv/Vi Mid: Zed/Fizz

I was 4-1 on shyv until losing streaks now im about 5-4. I liked Vi because she's very simple with a lock down ult for carries.

My fizz game was a first time fizz. (Besides custom testing which I know I should have played normals first) Started out 6-1 but went horribly when a fed top/jg came to team fights.

Thanks! I probably rambled because massive tilt.

Just won another with amumu. 6/2/7 Has more damage than I had expected and my god everyone in silver groups up even knowing you have ult..

Do everything you're doing and not doing but better; I know it might sound vague but that's pretty much it as far as improvement goes. Maybe there's some things you don't know and therefor can't improve on, well you'll have to find them out.

You should analyze some higher players lane and try to justify why they are doing certain things at specific times along with being somewhere at a precise time, your laning will get better.

For zed; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pykBz9iEnA

I had a thread on Zed but I don't know where it is

To carry you have to play dominate champs, ones that can 2v1 and still get an objective after, yi is good for silver. If you want to carry by just killing lanes to get them free farm, since you don't trust them to kill their lane anyways, Eve is a good choice.

To carry pick a champ that can. If you get behind though you lose the game for your team.

If you stat losing go play some aram for lolz. Now on to your builds, I can't see your whole match history there and i don't feel like searching it up but it seems that you always follow the same build. Build to fit your team/enemy team. Fizz and zed might not be the best mid laners to try to rank up on early because when they fall behind they fall off hard. If you are still looking for kill potential Ahri is a good champ to look at because she is very safe with her ult but also packs a punch and brings some decent waveclear. Remember that even on your best champs you aren't going to have a 80 or 90% winrate in the long run. As someone who pretty much mains Taric I have what would be considered an absurdly high ranked winrate on him at 76.9% with the only champs higher being ones that I won 1/1 or 2/2 games on. Having over a 75% winrate, even on your best champ, is super rare. Don't expect to win every game just because you are using a certain champ.

To summarize don't expect to win every game, if you are on a losing streak go play some aram or take a break and do yoga or some shit, also be friendly to your team mates from the very beginning of queue to the end of the game. If they are having a hard time offer to gank for them within the next 5 minutes. Tell them to stay positive and just try to farm up for when you get to teamfighting. Overall just be nice and try to get them to have a good time even especially if they don't seem like they are having fun

I'm just going to copy my advice from another thread on the same subject.

You have to adapt to the ELO you are in.; the champions, playstyles and strategies which work well in Gold will not necessarily work in Silver.

From what I recall of my time in Silver last season, I identified four main weaknesses that I sought to exploit:

[1] Players typically have poor general skills in lane.

Players don't really know how to manage minion waves, trade proficiently, shut down opponents or roam. Due to this, it's really quite easy to get ahead as a mid- to late-game scaling champion (i.e. Wukong, Nasus, Irelia) without falling behind and even snowballing early.

Also, players often overextend or ward poorly so you can often get fed rather quickly when jungling if you have strong early ganks (i.e. Volibear, Xin Zhao, Kindred).

[2] Players tend to group around objectives constantly and/or at bad times (they don't rotate well).

Honestly, a lot of my matches devolved into essentially ARAM. Both teams would group around an objective (i.e. a tower, inhibitor, dragon, baron) and proceed to spend the next couple minutes walking around it and exchanging poke until somebody gets caught out or sloppily engages a teamfight. I got a lot of use out of Ziggs (mid) and Varus (ADC) during these times since I could easily disengage fights, poke them down, or pick someone off.

[3] Teams tend to lack durability and CC

This isn't always true but I ran into many teams composed highly of squishy, high-damage and low CC champions in Silver. To compensate for this, my champions would usually at least have one strong CC ability and/or some durability to fill this gap.

It's hilarious how having even one durable fighter/tank and/or some AoE CC can change a fight against a team of carries. The ability to engage/disengage fights or pick people off is massive.

[4] Very, very few people know how to support properly.

Support seems to be the role that people are usually forced into playing (at least before dynamic queue). As such, it was typically filled by a player inexperienced with the role and a good support could be extremely influential (since they didn't have to worry about the other support countering them).

As such, an experienced support player would (even with a poor ADC) be able to dominate bottom lane. After crushing the enemy bottom lane and when their ADC is back, supports can roam mid or support their jungler during an invade to spread their lead and get their other allies ahead while shutting down their enemies.

Obviously, I would recommend playing champions you love and who you are experienced with. However, I would recommend you take a look at what mistakes or trends appear during every game and think on how you can exploit them.

Four amumu wins, 1 loss, and a Fizz win. From 0LP to Series. http://imgur.com/lKDyOPQ

The ugly truth is... sometimes you just cannot carry hard enough as a JG. If all three lanes feed or two feed horribly and third doesn't get fed itself it can simply be unwinnable. The only option is to simply lose sometimes. Or learn to play a very strong / snowball top or mid champ and win lane + snowball.

In low elo it's basically a 1v9 so you gotta go like 30/0 if you wanna consistently carry your games. Like 2 months ago I was going like 22/0 on Annie and consistently gaining LP (in silver) but then I took a break so now I'm shit again. A few games ago There was a Lucian on the enemy team who went like 30/10 and carried his shitty team, the game went like an hour long and all their inhibs were down but he still managed to turn the game around. After that game, all I could think was "man, I'm so bad, how come I'm not getting those KDA's and carrying my teams."
