Heimerdinger's Max Turrets???

My friends and i were talking about old and he mentioned that he used to be able to place down 8 turrets at one point in time. and i am pretty sure that was bull... so my question to you guys is throughout 's entire history, even in beta... what were his maximum turrets allowed on the battlefield at any one point in time. any proof would be greatly appreciated.
