There aren't any classes that counter assassins anymore

They're just running wild all over league ruining every game they're in. None of them are balanced. They all have too much damage. They all have too much mobility. They all have too much utility. They all have too much cc. They all have too much sustained damage. They all ruin every game they're in.

Every game that has an assassin the entire game revolves around that one champion and all of their bullshit. If one team has an assassin and the other team doesn't the team without one is at an immediate and massive disadvantage.

Hey balance team, how about you guys wrangle up all 7 of your combined IQ and do something about this cancer of a class.

"the class that has no sustained damage and has to rely on using skill to assassinate a target that is out of position has no counterplay"

Assassins arent directly countered by classes. Assassins are countered by items, and proper positioning. Which makes them the most counterable class in the game, and is generally why they NEED to establish a strong early/mid game presence inorder to win games, before anti-assassin items are completed, and before the "teamfighting" stage of the game.

Not true, some yes. Though it is more focused on certain champions rather then them as a whole, I would love to see a Kassadin or Pyke try and fight a decent IllaoiIllaoi , and MaplhiteMalphite with certain builds can give them trouble, hell in urf I played him armor and tanked a damage Jhin's ultimate shots with my team hiding behind me and didn't even get in the yellow health. So im not too worried of someone trying to jump on me when I play him especially with a teammate nearby.

Those are just examples though, there are a ton, you may have just been playing bad match-ups as certain champions are worse against certain ones, or just got shitty luck and fought a bunch of well versed people who main assassin or play the currently broken ones.

Yes and no. Tanks use to counter assassins, but they are pretty much dead outside of a few niches. In their place are ADCs like Kai and Xayah, Mages who can use Zhonyas or have a begone thot skill, and enchanters with a nope button.

CC is an assasins counter..

Traditionally CC is supposed to be an assassin's counter, and it was/is sometimes.

For example, I main Soraka. The majority of assassins cannot touch me or my ADC until they can bait out my silence/root. If they try to engage without trying to do that, they're doing a coin toss hoping that they can one-shot before I silence them. If they can, then that's great for them. If they can't, they die because they won't be able to get away once silenced. Most enchanters and engage supports have a lock down method.

The problem is damage is double what it used to be, so one shots are more common and happen much earlier. That's why it feels like they have no counters most of the time because there are a lot of situations where they get away with a lot more than they used to.

Then you got assassins that break the rules like Ekko and Akali. These are champions that can mess up, and still get you, or at the very least get away unscathed. They have abilities to sustain themselves in fights.
