Hello. I made a research about this topic and I was surprised to find out that nobody brought this up yet. Overall league is a very versatile game. You can adapt your play style with every single champion and it's cool to know the fact that everybody has a slightly different style than yours. What I started thinking about recently thought is that we dooon't really have that much items to pick from. I mean no we actually have alot of items but the problem is that they are suitable for certain champions or role. I don't really play other roles yet so I am mainly going to speak about supports. So what troubles me is that as a support your carry perspective should be different than dealing damage. You are the person to protect and peel for other people. The problem is there that the actual support items are not so many and most of them might not even be suitable for the certain team comp that you are facing. Let's have a look at enchanters for instance. In my games as a healer I often find myself picking up Athene's unholy grail even if their team has 5 champions that deal ad damage. The only reason I take the item is for it's effect which even though the item is great it's a waste of stats. Same goes for the other support items and I must admit.. I hate it no matter how good the effect on the item is. Having a bigger choice when it comes to items sounds like a really fun idea to me tbh. Instead of forcing the player to chose between going for a support build or full ap, simply giving them more options to chose from sounds like a better option. At the same time I want to also mention that there is nothing bad with building full damage on a support champion. The only problem i have with it however is that you are like paper and as a support you might also be the priority target and aside from dealing damage you can hardly survive people focusing you. You are dead the moment they reach you Tell me your thoughts about this, including other roles too.
