Imagine if balance team was that "Careful" with other champions and reworks release

MonkeyKing As champion sitting in the gutter status for over a year, and recently sitting at legit "RIP " status on op.gg and there almost no pick rate for him anymore in any type of games even in AURF he just garbage champion in total to the point that you will get flamed for picking him even.

Riot promised a fake rework back then from a year to find out later in the year that it was just a "Passion project " and then got delayed for the "VFX rework" then at November of year 2019 we got finally a response from Riot that they going to rework on Wukong finally.

And from then aside from putting shit that Wukong players don't want or just ruin the whole rework to make him worst version in general, they kept giving the big "NO initial release date for him yet cause we want to be careful with him to make the best ""balanced"" version out of him " and now we sitting at the point of over 2 months now since that talk about that rework with nothing beside just bad feedback on the changes and no release day.

I wish just they was just as careful with other shitty release they did for champions such like Mordekaiser Akali Diana Shaco Garen Aatrox Sett Senna Aphelios , all of this champions got release with bullshit status and some of them even stay to our day with a toxic mechanics and op numbers that could be have been fixed in PBE if they was more " Careful " and put them in month of testing on PBE just as they doing with MonkeyKing

But right it MonkeyKing who going to break the whole game if isn't release right.

But right like Akali the solo example of the dumb design that making problems for them over and over, got released so quickly on live server and make people just perm banned her even the fact that players did warn them and screamed at them before her release.

Or even Diana Garen and Shaco reworks that was quickly made in 2 weeks on PBE and released for live with broken "Untested " numbers and then got nerfed after that with 1 month atleast.

So you telling me MonkeyKing release with the same mindset would make a problem for a game ? Your answer will be Aphelios

Game could have been in much better status if they did the same to others but it unlikely , cause they want to drain money out of players and fill their mind with called "Fake new stuff " that end up being shit to game.

Wukong's player base is nearly as annoying as the Sona player base. Stop complaining. At least they didn't icebox it like Karma's rework.

Some changes take longer than others. Garen and Malphite were on PBE over and over for months before it released. No one but you guys think it's fun for Wukong to fly out the bushes with the quickness with a 1-shot kit. Get over it and learn some patience.

yea wukong get gutted the second he is decent. then u have the likes of lee sin who is good-op forever. someone on the balance team must have gotten blown-up by a fed wukong one time and was like "thats it".

Ikr, they are so careful when it comes to buffing and changing unpopular champions but when its one of their new releases? They don't give a single damn

If riot rushes something: "rito u fuks always release broken thing! Reeeeeeeee!"

If riot takes their time to make sure the champion would be in a relatively good spot: "rito u fuks giv us rework already! Reeeeeeeeeeeee!"

If riot releases something slightly OP/UP : "rito u fuks no idea how to balance anything! Reeeeeeeeeeee!"

Wukong has been in desperate need of self sustain or much better hp and defensive values to make it through laning.

The main problem is his wombo combo of WERQ on anything that isn't a bruiser/tank can be deeply toxic if he's not buried in lane, so they gave him an atrocious laning phase.

But as this game currently lives and dies by performance during laning phase since snowballs are so heavy, Wukong doesn't have the chance to ever become relevant, especially since hard counters like Renekton never truly fall off and even at full build he can never 1v1 the champs that were ruining him in lane.

There is no point to playing Wukong when Renekton/Kled/Tryndamere does much better in lane and are all able to dive the backline and explode it while being much more durable than him.

Garen's was on PBE for almost 2 months, same with Malphite's, and they both came out to be very high win rate, pick rate, and ban rate. PBE isn't a good way to balance the game as everyone who plays it is either a streamer (Fogged or SRO come to mind), a main testing changes (like the Shaco changes that every main said were bad and then he launched with a 54% WR,) or someone who isn't giving it their all. (people trying new skins)

Lutz was doing you guys a pretty massive favour by putting different builds onto the PBE daily, to show the direction, the iteration process and to get extra feedback, but for some reason none of you Wukong mains ever actually read his twitter when he said these things (there isn't any more than 50 replies a tweet).

Moving on, that "fake rework" from last year was scrapped because it alienated a large portion of Wukong's players (My duo queue partner from the last few years "Jerad" on NA almost has 900k on Wu and told me "it didn't feel like wukong"), it removed most of what mid Wukong players liked (assassin gameplay and burst) for a "clone centred confusion bruiser kit" with his trading tool being converted to a sustain move, and his dash having a bunch of hidden power on it. Now while I found that iteration interesting, it wasn't something that would make most Wukong players happy. (Like Teemo's scrapped rework from about the same time).

And now we reach 2 weeks ago, when Lutzburg tweeted out: "Team feels pretty good about both assassin and bruiser builds. VFX/anim work is underway." Which means it is at it's final lap, light tuning and a wait for an artist to finish his VFX. It'll be out when that is done. Malphite's time on PBE was very similar (I remember the excruciating wait I went through for his), but you can't just make a VFX artist appear out of nowhere you need the person to finish their previous work first.

TLDR: Quit bitching, it's almost done. item 3070

Its because wukong is one of the most liked champions in LoL, entirely due to other regions. Its only really NA and EU that dislikes wukong, which are no longer the largest player bases.

The fact that they "nerf" champions, but it isn't even a nerf is also stupid. Or the fact that they release a new champion and they are literally pick/ban in the LCS, and showcase why, but they do absolutely nothing about it really shows that the balance team doesn't care about the popular champions because they juts ant them played more
